A total of 20 Valorant agents were played in VCT Masters Tokyo 2023. Ironically, the only agent that didn’t get picked is Yoru, the agent whose origin is from Japan. Everyone else got played at least once within the entire tournament.

Even though there were only 69 matches, agents could’ve been picked a total of 138 times. This is because both the Attackers and the Defenders can pick the same agents, which results in more chances of all agents getting picked.

Quick Summary

From the data above, we can see that Jett, Killjoy, and Skye had the highest pick rate out of all agents. They were each played 73 times out of a possible 138 matches, giving them a 52.90% pick rate. That’s an absurdly high rate, especially at the highest level of play.

Raze, Viper, and Omen follow the top 3 agents, with pick rates of 42.75%, 39.86%, and 38.41%, respectively. These six agents are the only ones who were picked for 50 or more matches. It’s no doubt that they are a huge part of the current professional Valorant meta because of the utility they bring to the table.

Unlike Raze and Jett, the remaining Duelists aren’t as popular in pro play. Reyna, Yoru, Phoenix, and Neon, combine for only a total of 15 picks across the tournament. Yoru, Reyna, and Phoenix are also the bottom three least-picked agents in VCT Masters Tokyo.

It’s surprising to see that agents like Sova and KAY/O are a bit lower on the list. They only had an 18.84% and 16.67% pick rate and were picked 26 and 23 times. Both agents were huge parts of the meta early on in the year, in the VCT 2023 LOCK//IN event.

That just goes to show how fast the meta in Valorant can change. This is why it’s important to always keep up to date with the latest VCT tournaments and find out what the pros are using.
