Knowing how and when to use Shrouded Step separates a good Valorant Omen player from a bad Omen player. One of the easiest things you should do with Shrouded Step is to use it to get to higher locations and create unique angles.
Usually, you’ll want to use it to get on top of structures, objects, and other unique elevated places. You can also ask a Sage to wall and then teleport on top of it for some more unique and cheekier plays.

Paranoia and Shrouded Step Combo
Another deadly combo that any Omen player should know is his Paranoia into a Shrouded Step behind the enemy lines. This is a very aggressive play that will either make you look insanely smart or a fool.
Paranoia works well because it nearsights and deafens enemies. This gives you a short window to use Shrouded Step without getting heard or seen. If you can teleport behind everyone affected by Paranoia, you can get easy kills without breaking a sweat. This combo is best used when enemies are rushing and are clumped together so that they all get hit with Paranoia.
Try to Find Those One-Way Smokes
Omen is the easiest Controller for finding one-way smokes. When deploying his Dark Cover, the arrow indicates where it will land, allowing you to find one-ways throughout the map easily.
This should make it easier for you to hold angles and get early kills. It’s also a great way to delay pushes because they’ll need to wait for your smoke to clear before they can push. Those cheeky one-ways can easily get you kills, making them super worth finding. At least you don’t have to remember them, unlike Sova lineups.
Teleport Into Your Smokes
Dark Cover is mainly used to deny vision from the enemy team and allow your team to enter the site with some extra protection. However, you can also use it aggressively by placing it on top of objects near the site and then teleporting straight into them.
This would work better if you could throw your Paranoia first or ask a teammate to blind the site. Teleporting into your smokes gives you a fast and easy way into the site and behind enemy lines. Most people won’t be expecting it, allowing you to get the first blood in a round and maybe even multiple kills.

- Make sure to trade your Duelists and entry fraggers.
- You can use your From the Shadows ultimate to gather information about a site or to quickly rotate with the Spike.
- Try to lurk when you can, especially when your ultimate is up. However, don’t forget to provide smokes for your team.
