  • Your goal on Attackers as Breach: Set up allies using Fault Line or Rolling Thunder, clear corners using Aftershock, and help your team enter the site.
  • Your goal on Defenders as Breach: Delay enemy rushes, counter early aggressive peeks using your skills, and suffocate enemies using your utilities.
  • Stun enemies who like to aggressively peek or push.
  • Aftershock is a great way to force enemies out.

Breach is one of the hardest Initiator agents to use. He requires great map knowledge,  has a reliance on walls and surfaces, and has a very team-heavy kit. However, facing a great Breach player is one of the most challenging and annoying things in Valorant, so make sure to practice up.

Use the tips and tricks we have in our Valorant Breach guide to help you out.

Use Fault Line Near Common Early Angles

Using your Fault Line near common early angles is one of the easiest ways to control enemy aggression. You can charge up your Fault Line during the Buy Phase and let it go once the round starts. This can result in easy kills, especially if you have an ally like Jett or Neon who can quickly go in and take advantage of your stun.

Common angles include the main entrances to the site, middle areas, and lobbies. You can also use Fault Line to control ultimate orbs, prevent early rushes, and push enemies back.

Fault Line already dazes enemies and hinders their vision for a bit. Combining it with Flashpoint, which fully blinds enemies, will make them an easy, blinded, and slow-moving target.

This combo is best used as a follow-up when attacking the site. Breach’s daze and flash combo is one of the best and deadliest combos in Valorant that you can do using a single agent. So make sure to use it more in your games for those easy kills.

Breach Is an Aggressive Initiator

A mistake that most new Valorant Breach players make is using him like other Initiators. Breach isn’t your typical Initiators like Sova, Fade, or Skye. He needs to be more aggressive and find creative angles because of his reliance on walls or surfaces to use his abilities.

However, you can’t play Breach like a Duelist or entry fragger as well. You have to find the right balance of aggressiveness and passiveness. Instead, be actively looking for fights, engage with enemies, and try your best to set up or follow up your Duelists.

Don’t Forget About Aftershock

Aftershock is Breach’s most underutilized and unused ability. It’s slow, fires in bursts, and can be hard to use. However, there are still a ton of things you can do with it to make it more effective.

Aftershock is best used as a tool to clear deep corners or areas. It’s also great at checking cheeky corners or angles without needing to actually face-check. Aftershock is also perfect for delaying Spike defuses or plants, at least for a couple of seconds. It’s also a great way to destroy Killjoy’s Lockdown and control ultimate orbs. There are plenty of ways to use Aftershock. You just have to look harder.

The Best Ways to Effectively Use Breach When Attacking

  • Communicate with your team when you’re going to flash or stun.
  • Actively use your utilities to clear corners.
  • Use your Flashpoint and Fault Line to enter the site.
  • Always follow-up your entry fraggers and be ready to trade them.

The Best Ways to Effectively Use Breach When Defending

  • Use your utilities to delay rushes.
  • Use Aftershock to delay the Spike plant.
  • Try to stun or flash early to help your team get early picks.
  • Save your ultimate for retakes whenever it’s up.
