Trade Your Seekers

Skye’s Seekers is a great way to gather information, initiate fights, and capture sites. It automatically goes to the three nearest agents and pursues them until they are destroyed or time out.

Following where they go can allow you to get easy kills. Typically, enemies will shoot Seekers upon vision. If you follow them, you can easily swoop in and trade the Seekers while the enemies are busy shooting them.

Use Your Guiding Light to Gather Information

Skye’s Guiding Light is one of the few flashes in the game that also give a bit of information. Whenever it blinds an enemy, Skye shouts, “Blinded!” Alerting you and your team that an enemy is within that location.

This mechanic makes Guiding Light incredibly useful for checking corners and clearing sites. You can use Guiding Light to first gather information within a specific area instead of trying to blind as many people as you can.

Fly High, Then Direct Low

A common mistake that most Valorant Skye players make is simply letting their Guiding Light fly in a straight line before popping them. This makes them incredibly easy to hit, easy to dodge, and easy to counter.

What you should be doing instead is to let them fly high as they travel to your preferred location. Once it’s close enough, quickly direct it down before popping. This requires enemies to look up if they want to shoot the bird.

Fake Flashes

Another trick that any aspiring Valorant Skye main should use is faking your flashes. A lot of enemies counter the flash by turning around, waiting for it to pop, and then facing the front again. You can take advantage of this by simply faking your flash.

Let your Guiding Light fly towards an enemy, then swing when it’s close enough. You’ll often catch the back of players by using this simple yet effective trick.

It’s even more effective if you have a flasher like Phoenix or Yoru on your team. Fake your flash first, and then have your Yoru or Phoenix flash again. When the enemy is ready to turn around, they’ll be greeted with a different flash instead.
