Valorant Reyna: Key Takeaways

  • Valorant Reyna skills: Leer, Devour, Dismiss, Empress
  • Your goal on Attackers as Reyna: Create space for your team, get first bloods, blind, and check corners.
  • Your goal on Defenders as Reyna: Hold aggressive off angles, get early picks while not being traded, and not die trying to forcefully defend a site.
  • Play aggressive angles, then use Dismiss to escape.

Reyna is the ultimate solo queue carrying agent because of her self-sufficient, self-healing, and very forgiving kit. Learn more about the best tips and tricks for using her in our Valorant Reyna guide.

Always Have Your Dismiss Ready

When playing as Reyna, never forget that you always have a get-out-of-jail-free card handy. Dismiss is a very powerful tool that allows you to reposition and get away from danger whenever you get a kill.

A common mistake that most new Valorant Reyna players make is not quickly pressing Dismiss whenever they’re taking an aggressive duel. There’s no point in getting an early pick if you’re just going to get traded by an enemy’s teammate. So make sure to spam that Dismiss even before you kill an enemy.

Play the Off Angles

Reyna is one of the very few agents that can easily take advantage of off angles without getting punished. She can take very aggressive off angles and simply stand in the open because of her ability to quickly Dismiss out of the way.

Of course, this tactic is still going to be reliant on if you can kill your enemies, so it’s not exactly foolproof. However, you’ll always have the upper hand with off angles, and Reyna is simply the best at abusing them.

Blind High or Blind Low

A common mistake for new Valorant Reyna players is blinding directly in front of them at head level. This makes it very easy for enemies to shoot the eye and then quickly flick to your head.

To make it a bit harder to counter your blind, make sure to blind way above your head or down to the ground. Not a lot of people have the reflexes to quickly flick to the eye and flick back to your head. Flashing high also allows you to cover a larger area.

Flash Ahead, Not to the Side

Another common mistake that most Valorant Reyna players make is flashing to the side before entering. While this is a great way to make it harder for enemies to flick to your head after destroying the eye, it’s not as effective as blinding ahead.

Blinding ahead ensures that your eye reaches all the places that you can see. This is a quick and easy fix for those “Wait, why is he not blinded?!” moments.

Devour Before Using Empress

Empress is a very powerful ultimate that allows you to automatically heal after kills and to have infinite Dismiss charges. But a mistake that players make is activating Empress right after getting a kill.

You can’t Devour when Empress is active. If you were damaged before activating Empress, you’d have to move on with whatever health you have left. So make sure to always hit that Devour first before using Empress whenever it’s up.

Best Ways to Effectively Use Reyna When Attacking

  • Always engage with Leer before pushing a site.
  • Have your team smoke, and use their utility to clear corners before pushing.
  • Use Empress before pushing a site.
  • You can use Dismiss to take ego peeks without getting traded.

Best Ways to Effectively Use Reyna When Defending

  • Take early and aggressive duels.
  • Hold off angles as much as you can.
  • Use your Leer to delay enemy pushes.
  • Don’t be afraid to back up when you can’t defend a site.
  • You can use Leer to get early info. Most Attackers will instantly shoot it.
