Valorant’s new Team Deathmatch game mode will release along with Episode 7, Act 1, on June 27, 2023. It’s looking to be one of the largest patches that Valorant has ever released. There’s no new Valorant map to gush about, but there’s a new Agent, a new progression system, and of course, the Team Deathmatch game mode.

The goal of the game is to get the most eliminations. The team with the most kills, after a maximum of 9 minutes and 30 seconds, wins the game. However, a team can also win by being the first to 100 eliminations.

Each game will also consist of four different splits where the stages require players to use different types of weapons.

Here are the different stages and the various weapons allowed within each split:

You’re able to choose your loadout at the start of each stage or whenever you’re in the Spawn Room. This is the loadout that you’ll use until you die.

However, various weapon spawners are also located around the map. The weapons you can obtain from them will be more powerful than the current ones that the Stage uses but will have limited ammo.

Recovery and Ultimate Orbs are also scattered around the map. Recovery Orbs will grant your Health and Shield over 6 seconds, while Ultimate Orbs will allow you to charge your ultimate.

The new Valorant Team Deathmatch allows abilities, unlike the standard DM. Your abilities will depend on your loadout but will recharge over time once they are fully depleted.

The new Valorant Team Deathmatch mode is the first custom game mode that will receive its own maps. Other game modes have been tied to respective maps in rotation, but TDM will have smaller and better-suited maps for the game mode.

There are currently three announced maps for Valorant Team Deathmatch. These maps are:

  • Piazza
  • District
  • Kasbah

These maps are designed with some of the more popular standard maps in mind. Piazza is similar to Ascent, District resembles Split, and Kasbah has some parallels with Bind.

These new maps are created for more exciting gunfights, close-distance combat, and fast-paced gameplay that TDM promotes. However, they still stick to the core features and familiar concepts that the standard Valorant maps have for players to feel right at home.

Enjoy playing Valorant Team Deathmatch with the launch of Episode 7 on June 27, 2023.
