The Vandal is an automatic rifle that is most known for its one-tap potential at any range. Overall, it’s a pretty well-balanced weapon, especially when compared to other rifles like the Bulldog and the Guardian

It’s best when used for picking off enemies at long ranges. It’s not much of a spam weapon because of its relatively low fire rate and its smaller magazine size compared to the Phantom.

The lower fire rate, matched with a larger spread and recoil, also makes the Vandal a usable but not optimal weapon in closer ranges. However, if you can hit your headshots, the Vandal can still take multiple enemies down in close to medium range.

The Basic Stats

The Vandal has a headshot multiplier of x4 and a leg shot multiplier of x0.85. It doesn’t have a damage falloff multiplier, making it extremely strong at long ranges.

It also has a fire rate of 9.75  rounds/sec, a reload speed of 2.5s, and a magazine size of 25 with 75 reserves.

Here are the basic damage stats for the Vandal:

  • 0 – 50 meters – Head (160)
  • 0 – 50 meters – Body (40)
  • 0 – 50 meters – Legs (34)

Alt Fire Stats

The Vandal’s alt fire provides an ADS mode (aim down sights) that gives a 1.25x zoom. It also lessens the spread and recoil by a bit. However, it does come at the cost of fire rate, which goes down from 9.75 rounds/sec to 8.775 rounds/sec.

The Best Ways to Use the Vandal

It’s no secret that the Vandal excels at long-range battles. If you’re against a Phantom user, it will take them twice as long to kill you if you have full shields, anywhere from 15 to 30 meters.

When using the weapon, slow and controlled bursts are the key. It’s hard to spray the weapon because of its high recoil and large spread, which is especially true at longer ranges. Using slow and controlled bursts will help you hit your targets easier. You can also use ADS to help you get a better view for those crispy one-taps.

It’s not an optimal weapon for spraying through smokes because your tracers are visible. However, it can still be used to spray at enemies at close ranges. Just make sure to try and practice your recoil control.
