The Bulldog is a rifle that has slowly been increasing in popularity. A lot of professional players have started buying the Bulldog if they win the pistol round. This is especially true when using Duelists.

The extra firepower that the Bulldog provides over Spectres or Marshalls is undeniable. It also isn’t far behind Phantoms or Vandals, giving your team a fighting chance on your bonus rounds.

The Bulldog excels in medium to long-range combat. This is due to its consistent damage, regardless of the range. Unfortunately, it does get overpowered by a ton of other weapons up close because of its slow fire rate. Sometimes you’re even better off using the alt fire on the Classic than hitting close-range headshots with the Bulldog.

The Basic Stats

The Bulldog has a headshot multiplier of x3.3 and a leg shot multiplier of x0.85. It’s one of the very few weapons that doesn’t have damage falloff and deals the same amount of damage regardless of range. This makes it a unique weapon that offers the same amount of power at any range.

It also has a fire rate of 10 rounds/sec, a reload speed of 2.5s, and a magazine size of 24 with 72 reserves.

Here are the basic damage stats for the Bulldog:

  • 0 – 50 meters – Head (115)
  • 0 – 50 meters – Body (35)
  • 0 – 50 meters – Legs (29)

Alt Fire Stats

The Bulldog has an alt fire that allows players to use ADS (aim down sights) with a 1.25x zoom. However, it does lower the fire rate to 6.316 rounds per sec and shoots in three-bullet bursts instead.

The Best Ways to Use a Bulldog

Overall, the Bulldog isn’t a great spraying weapon. While you can get away with spraying in medium-range battles, it’s still best used in short, controlled bursts. This is mostly because of its slow fire rate.

Regardless of distance, it will always take two headshots to kill shielded enemies using the Bulldog. It is almost always better to take your time properly aiming instead of running and gunning.

It’s also recommended to take full advantage of the Bulldog’s alt fire. If your enemies are anywhere from 15 meters or above, the alt fire can provide a huge advantage for you. The zoom makes it easier for you to aim, while the burst fire makes it easier for you to hit enemies.

I recommend aiming near the neck area so when the recoil starts, the bullets will directly land on the enemy’s head. The three-bullet bursts can definitely feel off at first, but once you get used to it, the Bulldog suddenly becomes a solid Phantom or Vandal alternative for low-budget rounds.
