Sheriff

First up, we have the Sheriff. There’s absolutely no question in my mind that the Sheriff is the best pistol in Valorant. It’s the only pistol that can actually go head-to-head with rifles at range and come out on top. Who needs cheese angles when you’ve got one-taps for days, right?

The Sheriff is a steal at 800 credits, making it one of the best eco round weapons you can buy. A one-tap or two can easily shift the round in your favor. It’s hard to beat the value that the Sheriff brings as a pistol, which is why it tops our list.

Classic

The Classic is up next. It’s a good and reliable pistol that you simply can’t go wrong with. The best part about it is that it’s free. This makes it have insane value and can help you in clutch situations where your primary weapon runs out of ammo. Just switch to the Classic and win the round.

Overall, the Classic is probably the most versatile pistol. The alt-fire can help you get out of tricky close-range situations and surprise enemies with a burst in their faces. The primary fire might not deal the most damage, but it’s still usable at medium range, especially if you can hit your headshots.

Ghost

The Ghost takes our 3rd spot on the list because of its overall power at range. It’s definitely one of the most valuable pistols you can buy during pistol rounds and can even be serviceable for the bonus round.

What makes the Ghost so valuable during pistol rounds is its crucial 500-credit pricing. At 500 credits, you can buy the Ghost, which is more powerful than the Classic at range, and an ability. Unlike when you buy the Sheriff, you’re stuck with a slow fire rate weapon and no utility. You can also spam the Ghost a bit because of its decent fire rate and great magazine size.

Shorty

Now, we’re starting to move on to some more specialty pistols. The first one is the Shorty. The Shorty is a two-shell shotgun that can deal insane amounts of damage up close. Unfortunately, that’s the only thing it’s good for.

The Shorty is mostly great for cheeky plays during full-save rounds. Just pick a corner to hold, and wait for an enemy to come close. This can usually secure you a kill and will at least help remove a weapon from the opposing team. However, it’s usually a one-and-done type of play unless you catch a lurker, so be prepared to die.

Frenzy

The final pistol is none other than the Frenzy. While the Frenzy isn’t the most useless weapon in Valorant, by all means, it’s a niche pistol that requires a specific game plan in mind to be successful.

The Frenzy is a solid close to medium-range pistol. It has a fast fire rate that can quickly unload all bullets in its magazine. However, that’s also its main downfall. With such a fast fire rate, you need to ensure that you can hit most of your shots. It only takes 1.3 seconds to unload a full magazine, so make sure your shots count, or else you’ll be the one eating bullets while reloading.
