The Sheriff
The Sheriff costs 800 credits. This makes it a very risky buy during pistol rounds because you don’t have any money to buy some extra utility. Agents like Jett, Chamber, and sometimes Reyna are some of the only Agents who can get away with buying Sheriffs on pistol rounds.
It also has an insanely high recoil matched with a slow fire rate, making it generally hard to control. The pistol only has six bullets in each magazine, with just 30 bullets in total. While this may not seem like a lot, you only need a couple of headshots to kill the entire enemy team.
The Sheriff also has a high penetration, making it great for wall bangs. It’s a go-to weapon whenever you are low on economy, thanks to its ability to take down even full-bought enemies. It’s definitely perfect for players with good aim and weapon control.
The Basic Stats
The Sheriff has a headshot multiplier of x2.9, a leg shot multiplier of x0.85, and a 30m+ damage falloff multiplier of x0.909.
It also has a rate of fire of 4 rounds/sec, a reload speed of 2.25s, and a magazine size of 6, with 24 reserve bullets.
Here are the basic damage stats for the Sheriff:
- 0 – 30 meters – Head (159)
- 0 – 30 meters – Body (55)
- 0 – 30 meters – Legs (46)
- 30 – 50 meters – Head (145)
- 30 – 50 meters – Body (50)
- 30 – 50 meters – Legs (42)
Primary Fire Stats
Distance from Target | Body Part Hit | Bullets to Kill with no Shield (100 HP) | Bullets to Kill with Light Shield (125 HP) | Bullets to Kill with full Shield (150 HP) |
0 – 30 meters | Head | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Body | 2 | 3 | 3 | |
Leg | 3 | 3 | 4 | |
30 – 50 meters | Head | 1 | 1 | 2 |
Body | 2 | 3 | 3 | |
Leg | 3 | 3 | 4 |
As we can see from the data above, it can one-tap anyone within 0-30 meters. Thanks to its solid damage falloff multiplier, it also doesn’t change how many shots you need to kill, regardless of distance. This makes it a deadly weapon to use that will take, at most, four shots to kill enemies from any range.
Best Ways to Use the Sheriff
The best way to use the Sheriff is to use it in controlled and precise shots. Remember, it only takes one headshot to kill an enemy within 30 meters. Having one shot that hits their head is always better than being able to shoot three that completely miss.
The Sheriff is still usable in close-range combat, especially since it can take down enemies within three hits to the body. I recommend simply spamming the fire button if you’re close enough to an enemy. However, anyone with a better weapon will most likely still get the kill.
It’s also a great weapon for spamming through walls. Its high penetration and high damage make for a formidable wall-banging weapon. Add a Sova Recon Dart or a Fade Haunt, and your Sheriff will easily allow you to get free wall bang kills.
Whenever you’re using the Sheriff, make sure to try and take medium-range battles as much as you can. The Sheriff’s power comes from its ability to one-shot a person. Fighting at distances around 20-30 meters is definitely where the Sheriff shines the most. So make sure to choose your battles wisely.
