District was introduced during the launch of Valorant Episode 7. It’s a custom map that the creative minds at Riot Games created specifically for Team Deathmatch. District was created with Split in mind. This is why players will see a ton of similarities between the two maps.

The Power of the Orbs

Like other Valorant Team Deathmatch maps, District features a variety of orbs to help you out in battle. These orbs provide you with insane advantages that can easily get you a couple of kills, if not more.

This is why it’s important to know the locations and respawn timing of each orb. District features a total of 13 orbs. There is a single Weapon Orb near the side walls for each side. The last weapon orb is then located in mid generator.

Mid sewer is home to three Ultimate Orbs and one Recovery Orb. There are also three Ultimate Orbs found in mid generator. Finally, mid horseshoe features the final two Ultimate Orbs on opposing sides, with a single Recovery Orb in the middle.

Not All Sides Are Created Equal

District features a unique map layout. Most of the areas of the map are reflected on both sides. However, when you get to the left and right portion of the map, both sides are far from the same.

On one side, you have mid sewer, which is a pretty straightforward portion. It provides a direct line of sight from the opposing sides and has a small alley leading to mid generator.

The opposite side features mid horseshoe. This provides a curved area that serves as a connection between the two nest locations. Each side plays a bit differently, has distinct angles, and requires different playstyles.

Find Creative Angles

There are a ton of different boxes and structures located all over District. This gives you a ton of opportunity to create unique angles that opponents won’t expect you in. I know that holding angles isn’t exactly promoted in TDM. However, they can be very useful once you hear opponents running near you.

Holding these unique angles can easily get you multiple kills and can allow you to push forward after. District is a very small map, which is why you’ll have no trouble finding kills even if you hold a few angles every now and then.

Cover Is Everywhere

Our final tip for you today in our District Valorant map guide is to use your surroundings. As we’ve mentioned above, District is a very small map, which is why you can easily find enemies on almost every step you take. This is why finding cover is necessary when taking gun fights.

Don’t be afraid of pushing because there’s a wall, a box, or a structure almost everywhere you look. So make sure to be aggressive, push forward, and don’t be afraid of running out of cover.

I also suggest staying clear of snipers like the Marshal or the Operator since they can be quite hard to use on the map.
