I won’t lie. Spider-Man 2 was one of my favorite childhood games. Still, I’m not disappointed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 won’t be a remaster, as the game looks quite entertaining from what we’ve seen so far.
So, what’s new in Marvel’s Spiderman 2? For starters, you’ll be able to play with two Spider-Men, rather than just one. Peter Parker and Miles Morales are confirmed to be in this game, so if you liked Across the Spiderverse, you’ll absolutely love this game.
The map is also bigger than anything we’ve ever seen before in a Spider-Man game before and will feature Brooklyn, Queens, Corney Island, and many more locations. The window cleaners will need weeks to take all of your web down.
Finally, we have an entirely new cast of villains that Spider-Man has never faced before in any prior Spider-Man video game. The most notable one being Kraven the Hunter, who is looking quite intimidating.

The official news that the game was being developed came in September 2021 at the PlayStation Showcase event. Since then, it’s been rather smooth sailing for the project.
The most recent exhibition happened during the PlayStation Showcase as part of the Summer Game Fest. Most fans were expecting a trailer or two, but, not only did we receive that, but we also received multiple gameplay videos on top of that.
And, what can we say? The game not only meets expectations, but it also exceeds them in every possible way. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will quite possibly be the best Spider-Man game ever released. If we consider previous Spider-Man games, then that’s quite a big pair of shoes to fill.
