Astra

First up, we have Astra. Astra is by far the most challenging Controller to use. Her abilities rely on placing her Stars early before you can use them. This is already quite hard since you’ll need to plan things out way before you actually need to use them.

However, it doesn’t stop there. You can only place Stars while in your Astral Form. During your Astral Form, you are vulnerable because you can’t see your surroundings. All of these factors, matched with not being able to use abilities in a pinch, make Astra one of the hardest Valorant Agents to master.

Yoru

It’s no surprise to see Yoru on this list because he has always been in no man’s land ever since release. The hard part about Yoru is knowing when and how to use your abilities to fool enemies. That’s Yoru’s main gimmick, and quite frankly, not a lot of people will fall for it if you don’t properly time and use your abilities correctly.

However, Yoru is one of those Agents that can easily outplay and humiliate you in the game. A good Yoru player will keep you guessing on where he actually is. One second he’s in front of you, then a blind later, you’re already getting shot at from behind. Unfortunately, not too many people can completely master Yoru. You’ll need to be a master of deceit, timing, and unpredictability to become a great Yoru main.

Breach

Next up, we have Breach. Most of Breach’s abilities need to interact with walls, objects, and other structures to work. This means that you’ll need to get very creative with your flashes and your Aftershocks if you’re determined to master Breach.

We all know how annoying it is going against a great Breach player. It almost feels like you’re always flashed, stunned, or both, no matter if you’re attacking or defending. I can assure you that that player definitely took a significant amount of time practicing Breach.

Sova

Sova isn’t an inherently difficult Valorant Agent to use. However, he does have a very high skill ceiling which makes him hard to master. Most of his difficulty lies within the proper use of his arrows. We all know that Sova lives and dies with his lineups.

The best Sova players in the world have a ton of crazy lineups for each map. Devoting yourself to becoming a true Sova main means devoting to remembering multiple lineups for each map. Overall, Sova isn’t the hardest Valorant Agent to play, but he still’s up there.

Raze

The final entry on our list of the Hardest Valorant Agents to master is Raze. While one can argue that Jett is just as hard, if not harder, to use than Raze, I still believe that Raze’s mechanical skill ceiling is higher than Jett’s. It’s mostly because of how hard it can be to perfect Raze’s satchels.

If you don’t know how to use Raze’s Blast Packs properly, you’re going to end up doing more harm than good. However, if you can master your movement, you can actually execute some pretty crazy and hard-to-stop plays.
