Mechabellum Stormcaller Guide

Mechabellum’s Stormcaller is one of the most fun units to use in-game. It does one thing, and one thing only. But, it does it so well that it’s a joy to just lay back and watch it do its work.

Stormcallers are a heavy rocket launcher artillery system. Their sole purpose is to completely eradicate any and all mob units on the receiving end of its barrages. And it does this job with flying colors.

Do you hate playing alone? Most people do. If that’s the case, you should definitely check out the Z League app. Its LFG will help you find a gaming buddy in no time.

Key Takeaways for Mechabellum Stormcaller Guide

  • Stormcallers are a heavy rocket artillery unit
  • They have one purpose, and one purpose only – eradicate Mob units.
  • Always support your Stormcallers with other units, especially against air threats.

The Stormcaller and its Upgrades

Mechabellum Stormcaller Guide

Stormcallers should be primarily kept in the back as a supporting unit. If these guys come under attack, then something has gone horribly wrong.

Incendiary Bomb is the first tech upgrade available to the Stormcaller. This upgrade makes the attacks of your Stormcallers ignite the area that they hit. Any units passing through or currently in the area will take a significant amount of damage over time, this also includes allied units as well.

Range Enhancement does as the name implies. It enhances the maximum Attack Range of your units. Considering the fact that their Attack Range is already one of the highest, this upgrade is basically a cherry on top.

Launcher Overload decreases the attack interval between each attack but also decreases the unit’s maximum Attack Range. As an added benefit, it also increases its Movement Speed by a few meters per second.

High-Explosive Ammo increases the splash range of your attacks but decreases their overall damage. This is inconsequential against Mobs, but quite noticeable against Squad units.

Electromagnetic Explosion gives your Stormcallers the Electromagnetic debuff. I.e., their attacks will not cause the Electromagnetic debuff on any enemy they hit. This debuff drastically slows down the affected target and also disables their tech upgrades.

High Explosive Anti-Tank Shells is the final tech upgrade available for your Stormcallers. This upgrade drastically increases the Attack Damage of your units but at the cost of an increased interval between each attack.

The Strengths of the Stormcaller and How You Should Use Them

Fang

As was mentioned in the beginning. Stormcallers have one purpose, and one purpose only – the complete and utter annihilation of any Mob units in sight. They’re comparable to the Vulcan in that regard, just with a farther Attack Range.

Stormcallers particularly like to prey on Fangs, as Fangs are slow-moving and have no way of evading your attacks. Another food that they like is Crawlers, however, Crawlers have the Subterranean Blitz ability, which makes them invisible until it’s too late. This makes them a bit more elusive, but a tasty catch nonetheless.

The Weaknesses of the Stormcaller and What You Should Avoid

Wasp

Stormcallers are weak against basically anything, though they have a particular disdain toward Wasps. Wasps are the most cost-effective way of taking out your Stormcallers. All it takes is one exposed flank and boom! You’ve just lost all your Stormcallers.

That is why you should avoid leaving your Stormcaller unprotected. This is the case will all support units really. Support units like the Stormcaller provide a crucial role, which is why they’re almost always the priority for flanking attacks.

Fast-moving units like the Rhino are also a particular concern, one that you might not have an answer for if you’re unprepared, especially if it’s a call-in unit, as call-in units are impossible to predict.
