Which Apex Legends heirloom is the best? That’s something we all want to know, therefore, we’ve put together a tier list including everything you need to know about them before you make up your mind.

Apex Legends heirlooms are the rarest cosmetics in the game’s universe. And being one of the most populars games right now, they are also the most expensive items, with players who have spent even over $400 just to get one. They are so difficult to get that many players that have been playing since the beta still don’t have any.

Right now, there are three ways of getting heirlooms:

  • Spend somewhere between $140 and $180 on release events, buying all the cosmetics and legendary skins. Once you buy them all you get the heirloom.
  • Purchase 500 packs until you get the Heirloom shards (with these you can choose whichever Heirloom you like), but keep in mind that each pack costs $1.
  • Or you can just wait until you organically hit 500 packs by just playing the game, without spending any money.

Of course, due to the high price, the last option is the one that seems more appealing to our eyes. However, that’s exactly why they are the most exclusive items in the game.

But what happens when you finally get your shards? Which should you choose?

We know it is a tough decision when you choose an heirloom, there are many things to consider, like which legend you use as your main, or which one your friends use. Therefore, we’ve put together a tier list including everything you need to know about them before you make up your mind.

S-Tier Heirlooms

Those incredible ones that are the BEST heirlooms in the game.

Gibraltar’s War Club

Released on January 2021. This is one of the best heirlooms in the game, it looks absolutely gorgeous, it has flames coming out of it and the inspections look really good, but most important, when you hit someone with it, you really feel its heaviness and that you’re really hurting them.

Revenant’s Dead Man’s Curve

Released on June 2021. This is another of the best heirlooms in the game, it’s big but don’t get us wrong, it doesn’t cover your screen and it actually feels great, also it comes with some sort of shadowy smoke whenever you melee something, it definitely fits the legend and even though revenant is not very popular nowadays, this one peaks as one of the best heirlooms.

Seers’s Showstoppers

Released on January 2023. Seer’s heirloom became an instant favorite for a lot of players. It may be the smoothest heirloom out there when it comes to movement. Also, it has so many inspections that we’re not sure that we’ve got them all so far. It definitely fits the legend and for us, it is probably one of the top ones out there.

A-Tier Heirlooms

These are good, if you love any of these legends, you won’t regret.

Lifeline’s Shock Sticks

Released on October 2019. This one actually has a few animations despite being one of the first relics, it also feels good when running, and the stickers give it a vibe like it’s something she uses every day, not a bad choice if you really like lifeline.

Octane’s Butterfly Knife

Released on March 2020. This is one of those that look amazing when you’re moving, it also has good inspections,  even though if it doesn’t completely fulfil what we were specting of it (it doesn’t inject himself with the knife), it still feels like a good choice when you’re an Octane fan.

Rampart’s Problem Solver

Released on August 2021. What really stands out about this heirloom is the inspections it has, with some cool bubblegum animations, a hidden one with Octane’s leg, and a lot of fun interactions. They really did a good job developing this one. It fits the legend so well.

Wattson’s Energy Reader

Released on December 2021. This one was the most controversial heirloom by far. Some even say it was a disappointment because we were all expecting a Nessie plush. However, it is a good heirloom. It fits Watson perfectly, and we really love these interactions. If you like her, it’s definitely a worthwhile heirloom.

Mirage’s Too much Witt

Released on June 2020. We know that almost no one likes Mirage, but honestly, this is such a cool heirloom, it is an Oscar. The interactions are very funny and it feels extremely appropriate for the legend. Plus: You can see your heirloom on your decoys.

B-Tier Heirlooms

Do not get any of these unless yoou’re 100% sure.

Wraith’s Kunai

Released on February 2019. Being the original heirloom and the most popular legend in the game, we understand why people love this one so much. It feels smooth when it spins but lets got to be honest, all new heirlooms make these first ones look old.

I’m a Wraith enjoyer and I love those iconic Aceu’s zip line videos. However, unless you’re a sweaty bald Wraith, there is only one reason why you should get this one. When you punch someone, it creates those void animations that look cool, but other than that, this one is really not recommended.

Loba’s Garra de Alanza

Released on September 2022. We all love Loba for one reason or another, but her heirloom is not quite as shocking as she is. It is an average-looking heirloom with nothing too impressive. Despite that, the animations are really enjoyable, and it’s always entertaining to see her cutting half Revenant’s head. It’s not the prettiest heirloom out there but it’s a good one if you like her.

Crypto’s Biwon Blade

Released on March 2022. We understand Crypto is not the most popular legend, but still, this heirloom is actually pretty good, it feels nice, it has some pretty gorgeous inspections, and it also represents the legend and its culture so much. For us it wouldn’t be the first choice, but if there are any Crypto lovers out there, it is not a bad choice.

C-Tier Heirlooms

There are definitely some better options.

Bloodhound’s Raven’s Bite

Released on August 2019. Even though it feels comfortable, this heirloom is definitely not the most fluid when it comes to movement. And If we talk about inspections… it literally only has a few where it doesn’t have any interesting interactions at all.

Bangalore’s Cold Steel

Released on March 2021. This one is like Bangalore herself, it has average inspections, and average movements and it just feels like an average heirloom with nothing that stands out too much. Still, if you like Bangalore, this seems like a good option for you.

Valkyrie’s Suzaku

Released on June 2022. Even though we all love Valk because of how she took over the meta, we don’t appreciate her heirloom very much. It feels big in a not-so-good way and kind of odd when you’re moving. This is because it doesn’t feel smooth at all. However, it has some favorable inspections and the spear itself appears to be pretty good.

D-Tier Heirlooms

Please don’t.

Pathfinder’s Boxing Gloves

Released on December 2019. This heirloom is one of the worst in the game, even though it has some funny inspections. These gloves really feel odd when you hit someone. Most of all, they take almost half of your screen when you have them on. You can’t even rank properly with these on.

E-Tier Heirlooms

Nope, in any situation, don’t do this.

Caustic heirloom 1024x576 2
Screengrab via Respawn Entertainment

Caustic’s Death Hammer

Released on October 2020. Definitely, the worst one in the game. The skull in the back of the hammer seems odd, the interactions are honestly weird and more importantly, this hammer makes you feel even slower than what you usually feel with the big boys. This heirloom is a nope unless you’re kind of nuts.

Final Tier List

Heirloom tierlist

At the end of the day, we ended up with a nice tier list including all heirlooms we have received so far. And that’s without even getting into the Best Legends for Season 15.
