The Odin is the most powerful machine gun in Valorant. It has a high penetration, a high rate of fire, and the largest magazine size in the game. If you want to make it rain bullets on your enemies, the Odin is definitely the way to go.

It can be incredibly useful on the Defender’s side of the map. It’s very oppressing, especially in wallbangable areas, because it seemingly takes forever for the Odin to run out of bullets.

The Odin is also the only weapon in the game that increases in fire rate the longer you continue to use it. It starts off with a fire rate of 12 but can be increased to 15.6. This makes it the 2nd highest fire rate in the game, just behind the Stinger. However, you can better make use of the Odin’s fire rate because of its way larger magazine capacity.

The Basic Stats

The Odin has a headshot multiplier of x2.5 and a leg shot multiplier of x0.85. It also has a 30m+ damage falloff multiplier of x0816.

It also has a fire rate of 12-15.6 rounds/sec, a reload speed of 5s, and a magazine size of 100 with 20 reserves.

Here are the basic damage stats for the Odin:

  • 0 – 30 meters – Head (95)

Alt Fire Stats

The Odin has an alt fire that allows players to use an ADS (aim down sights) mode that provides a 1.15x zoom. Using ADS reduces both the spread and the recoil. It also always fires at 15.6 rounds per second instead of starting at 12 rounds per second.

Best Ways to Use the Odin

Like the Ares, the Odin is best used on the Defending side. The slow equip, reload, and run speed are all less important when you’re holding an angle. Using the weapon to constantly make it rain bullets will make it difficult for enemies to rush and attack your site.

It’s almost always best to use ADS whenever you can. This is because it always starts at the max fire rate of 15.6 seconds.

The Odin is also extremely useful at getting wallbang kills thanks to its high penetration and spamming through smokes because of its large magazine capacity.

One of the best times to use an Odin is when you’re playing with an Agent like Fade or Sova. They can help you by scanning enemies then you can use your Odin to simply spam through walls. This can result in quick and easy wallbang kills that can instantly give your team a huge advantage.
