Stalcraft Combat Armors: Melee Resistance Path

Let’s take a look at Stalcraft Combat Armors. Particularly, the Melee Branch of Combat Armors. There are a ton of deadly mutants all over the Zone, so protection is a must.

Stalcraft Combat Armors Melee Resistance

Even though Combat Armors are the most popular type of armor in Stalcraft, the Melee Resistance path tends to get less attention than its brethren. As most Stalkers simply prefer the Bullet Resistance Path or the Carry Weight Path as opposed to the Melle Resistance Path.

On the other hand. Any true veteran of the Zone will tell you that a proper suit of Melee Resistant Combat Armor is indispensable, especially if you’re on the hunt for Limboplasma in Limansk.

Do you hate playing alone? After all, it’s better to explore the Zone with a battle buddy by your side. If that’s the case, then you should definitely check out the Z League app. Its LFG feature can help you find a gaming buddy in no time.

Swamp Combat Armors

Bandit Cloak

Stalcraft Combat Armors Bandit's Cloak

Aaa nuu! Chiki Briki, iv damke! The iconic Bandit Cloak is one of the first pieces of Combat Armor that you can unlock in Stalcraft. It’s not much stat-wise, but it sure is iconic.

Hunter’s Cloak

Hunter's Cloak

The Hunter’s Cloak is a small step up from the Bandits Cloak. It won’t do much against Level 2 weapons, but it will keep you safe from those nasty boars and dogs that infest the Swamps.

Cordon Combat Armors

Houndmaster Protective Suit

Houndmaster

Melee Resistance-wise, the Houndmaster isn’t that big of a step up from the Hunter’s Cloak. What is significant is the increase in Bleeding Resistance from 50% to 70%. Other than that, this is probably one of the coolest-looking armors in the game, as it makes you look straight out of Mad Max.

Worn Trapper Suit

Worn Trapper

The Worn Trapper is rather unimpressive all things considered. It brings a negligible increase to your Resistances and no further increase in Bleeding Resistance. All in all, you should consider the Worn Trapper as a “hop-off” until something better comes along.

Trapper Suit

Trapper

The Trapper isn’t as good as the Striker when it comes to protecting you against Level 3 – 5 Weapons. However, it’s quite good when it comes to protecting you from the variety of mutants you will be encountering in the Dump. Which technically is its main job anyways. So as long as it does its job, it’s a good suit.

The Bar Combat Armors

Worn Fleece Protective Suit

Worn Fleece

The Worn Fleece carries quite the significant increase in Resistances compared to the Trapper, so much so that I’d say it’s a must-have piece of armor. Not only will it increase your Melee Protection by a sizable amount, but it will also protect you against Level 1 Radiation, which is absolutely essential if you’re gonna farm around the Bar.

Fleece Protective Suit

Fleece

The pristine Fleece offers an across-the-board increase to all of your Resistances. It’s a step up from the Worn Fleece, that’s for sure. However, other than the aforementioned, there’s nothing special about it.

Worn Osh Protective Suit

Worn Osh

Here’s where it gets interesting again. The Worn Osh is an absolute must-have, as it gives an increase to most of your Resistances. However, the most notable one is probably the Psy Resistance increase, which should unlock a lot of areas for you. The one downside it has is that it only has 190 Radiation Resistance, which is just 10 resistance shy of the next level.

Osh Protective Suit

Osh

Slap on a new coat of paint and you get the brand-new Osh Protective Suit. The increase in Bullet and Melee Resistance is quite negligible with this one, however, the increase in Elemental Resistances make it a total game changer compared to the worn version of the Osh.

Jaeger Exoarmor

Stalcraft Combat Armors Jaeger

The Jaeger Exoarmor is probably the coolest-looking suit in the game. Sadly, even though it looks cool, the stat increases it brings along are pitiful. The most significant one is the increase in Carrying Capacity, however, that’s practically negated by the fact that it weighs so much.

Hopefully, this suit will receive a rework in the future, because, as it currently sits, it’s pretty mediocre, all things considered.

Worn Beast Slayer

Worn Beast Slayer

Now we’re talking business! The Worn Beast Slayer is an all-around improvement over the Jaeger. It’s so good that I’d even consider it a must-have if you’re going out to farm mutants in the North. Plus, it makes you look like Tachanka from Rainbow Six: Siege. Kudos to that.

Beast Slayer Exoarmor

Beast Slayer

Finally, we have the Beast Slayer Exoarmor. This armor is the culmination of the Melee Resistance path, and it is definitely a sight to behold. Any mutant that tries to eat you will get indigestion, so long as you’re wearing this thing. The grind to get it is long and arduous, but well worth it.
