Pathfinder is one of Apex Legends’ most lovable characters because of his positive attitude. He can also pull off some insane plays through the use of his Grappling Hook. Learn about the different tips and tricks you can use in our Apex Legends Pathfinder guide.

Apex Legends Pathfinder: Tips and Tricks

Pathfinder isn’t one of the best Legends for beginners because of his high mechanical ceiling. However, he’s definitely very fun to play once you’re starting to master his abilities. Implement these tips and tricks into your game to help you become a better Apex Legends Pathfinder player.

Always Be Aware of Your Surroundings

As Pathfinder, one of your biggest strengths is your ability to quickly move around the map. Both of his active abilities are mobility tools that you can use to explore your surroundings and get to places faster than other Legends.

However, sometimes you can get lost exploring or finding that next survey beacon. This puts you in a vulnerable situation where you can get 1v3 before your teammates can get to where you are. So make sure that you don’t wander too far off just because you can.

Always Be Actively Looking for Flanks

Pathfinder belongs to the new Skirmisher class in Apex Legends Season 16. Skirmishers have great mobility and are overall good flankers. This is why you need to use both your Grappling Hook and Zipline Gun to try and find unique flanking opportunities that other Legends can’t.

You can grapple your way behind buildings or quickly zip across long distances. It’s best to listen for gunshots first, then try to flank one of the fighting teams. Third-partying gives you a great shot at a flank while also capitalizing on possibly low-health enemies. The chaos caused by your flank will give you the upper hand and will give you a great chance to eliminate two squads at once.

Don’t Be Afraid to Spam Your Abilities Outside of Combat

One thing that most beginner Apex Legends Pathfinder players do is save their Grappling Hook for fights. While this is a good way to ensure you’ll always have it up when you need it the most, you’re often wasting your mobility advantage when out of combat.

Always use your Zipline Gun and Grappling Hook whenever they are up. You aren’t going to encounter enemies every 30 seconds, so there’s no point saving it up, especially during the early game. Also make sure to keep your eyes open for survey beacons and utilize your passive as much as you can.

Create Unique Opportunities Using Your Abilities

This next tip is quite related to the previous one. Pathfinder is one of the few Legends that reach high places with ease. This allows him to create unique angles and reach places that others simply can’t.

You can easily use your abilities to climb on top of buildings, mountains, hills, and other structures. From there, you can use your height advantage as a great sniping area, to scout ahead, or to simply hide. You can also use your Zipline as a quick way to reposition with your team.

Master Your Grappling Hook Ability

Finally, make sure that you master Pathfinder’s bread and butter ability, his Grappling Hook. His Grappling Hook is an effective tool for initiating fights, escaping fights, reaching high places, and moving faster around the map.

Your Grappling Hook can be used to create momentum and surprise your enemies out of nowhere. You can also shoot at enemies while grappling, which can result in crazy plays and unpredictable fights.

Another creative way to use your Grappling Hook is by using it to pull enemies closer to you. This is a great distance closer and allows you to get easier hits with your R-99 SMG or any other close-range weapon.

These were all the tips and tricks we have for you today on our Apex Legends Pathfinder guide. Hopefully, you were able to pick up a thing or two that can help you in your ranked games or in your Apex Legends tournaments.
