Clash Royale Legendary Cards

Cards are the fundamental components of Clash Royale gameplay. They represent troops, spells, and buildings that players deploy during battles to attack opponents and defend their own towers. Each Clash Royale card has unique attributes, elixir cost, and special abilities that contribute to the deck’s overall strategy.

Clash Royale currently features a vast collection of cards, each providing different gameplay dynamics. As of the most recent update, there are a total of 109 cards available in Clash Royale.

The components of Clash Royale cards include:

  • Name: Each card has its unique name.
  • Rarity: Cards are categorized into different rarities, ranging from Common to exclusive Champion cards. Rarity affects the availability and relative power of the cards.
  • Elixir Cost: This indicates the elixir required to deploy the card during battles.
  • Type: Cards are divided into three main types: Troop cards, Spell cards, and Building cards. Each type has its distinct characteristics and functions.
  • Statistics: Cards have specific attributes such as hit points, damage, attack speed, range, and more, which define their combat effectiveness and utility.

What are star levels in Clash Royale?

Star levels refer to the visual upgrades that Clash Royale cards can receive beyond their regular levels. When a card reaches level 7, players have the option to increase its star level to further enhance its appearance. Star levels do not affect the card’s stats or gameplay performance; they purely provide cosmetic changes.

To acquire star levels for cards, players need to collect Star Points, a currency obtained through various in-game activities, such as earning experience. Star Points can be used to unlock and upgrade the star levels of specific cards.

The benefits of star levels are more for personal achievement by adding visual flair to the cards.

How do you level cards in Clash Royale?

Leveling up cards is crucial for improving their combat effectiveness and increasing their stats.

Leveling up cards up to the current max level 14 requires players to acquire duplicate cards and gold, the primary in-game currency. For all cards, the number of duplicate cards and gold required increases with each subsequent level. However, different cards have different upgrade requirements based on the rarity.

To efficiently level up specific cards, players should request cards within their clan every 7 hours, participate in events that offer card rewards, and manage their gold resources wisely.

The max level of cards will increase to level 15. This level will be called the Elite Level and according to Supercell will cost no gold. This level increase will be released with the Card Evolution update on June 19th, 2023.

What are the types of cards in Clash Royale?

In Clash Royale, cards are categorized into different types, each serving a specific role and function in battles. Here are the 3 main types of cards:

Troop Cards: Troop cards represent various units that can be deployed to attack enemy towers or defend your own. They include melee troops, ranged attackers, flying units, and more.

Spell Cards: Spell cards unleash powerful magical effects on the battlefield, targeting enemy troops or structures. Spells can deal damage, heal allies, summon troops, or create other strategic advantages.

Building Cards: Building cards allow players to construct structures on their side of the arena. These buildings can serve defensive purposes, spawn troops, or provide supportive functions.

Each card type brings its unique playstyle, tactical considerations, and synergy with other cards. Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of different card types is essential for effective deck-building and strategic gameplay.

What is card rarity in Clash Royale?

Every card in Clash Royale is categorized into one of five rarities: common, rare, epic, legendary, or champion. The rarity indicates the card’s availability, or drop rate, from chests and its relative power level.

Common Cards: Common cards are easily obtainable cards in high quantities. There are currently 28 common cards in the game and they are represented by a white-colored card background and are generally the foundation of many decks.

Rare Cards: Rare cards have a slightly higher rarity level than common cards. There are currently 28 rare cards and they are represented by an orange-colored card background and tend to have more unique abilities or higher stats compared to common cards.

Epic Cards: Epic cards have a higher rarity level and are less common to acquire. There are currently 29 epic cards and they are represented by a purple-colored card background and often possess powerful and game-changing abilities.

Legendary Cards: Legendary cards are the rarest and most powerful cards in Clash Royale. There are 19 legendary cards and they are represented by a gold-colored hexagon background. They each have unique mechanics and exceptional strength.

Champion Cards: Champion cards are an exclusive rarity level reserved for special cards obtained through specific means, such as winning certain tournaments or playing in events. There are 5 champion cards and they are represented by a silver frame outlined by a golden animated fire background and are extremely rare.

Additionally, champion cards each have an activatable ability that can be used while they are on the battlefield for an elixir cost. These cards are so strong that they are limited to only one per deck.

While rarity is important, it does not necessarily mean higher is better. A good player will be able to utilize each card’s strengths and weaknesses in their deck.

How to use cards in Clash Royale?

Using cards effectively in Clash Royale is crucial for achieving victory in battles. The proper deployment and strategic placement of cards can make a significant impact on the outcome of the game.

Here are some key points to consider:

Card Placement Strategy: Each card type, whether it’s a troop, spell, or building, requires a specific placement strategy to maximize its effectiveness. For example, deploying tanky troops in front of ranged attackers can protect them and create a strong push.

Elixir Management: Elixir is the resource used to deploy cards onto the battlefield. Managing your elixir effectively is crucial for maintaining an advantage over your opponents.

Card Synergy: Combining cards that synergize well with each other can create powerful combinations and strategies. For example, using a goblin barrel on top of the enemy tower as it begins attacking a giant allows the goblins to attack while the giant tanks the tower damage.

Countering Opponent’s Cards: Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your opponent’s cards is essential for effectively countering their strategies. Identifying their key cards can give you an edge in battles. For example, using a spell card to counter a swarm of low-health troops or deploying a specific troop to target high-hitpoint units.

By mastering the art of card usage, you can develop effective strategies for your deck and adapt to different situations.

How to counter cards in Clash Royale?

Countering an opponent’s cards requires understanding the strengths and weaknesses of different cards beyond just what exists in your deck. Ultimately, you must quickly learn what cards your opponent is using so you can adapt to their strategy.

Once you know what they have, you can aim for positive elixir trades. If you are capable of using the proper timing and placement of your cards, you will be able to maximize your deck’s synergies within the battle.

What is deck explorer in clash royale?

Deck Explorer is an in-game tool to help players find new decks that are tailored to their individual card collection.

Within the Deck Explorer tool, players select a card and can opt to “Pick” or “Remove” cards within their collection. They must pick at least 1 card in order to use the explorer, after deciding the explorer offers 10 deck suggestions with various average elixir costs. Players can decide to use the deck or go back and edit their picked and removed cards.

Overall, the deck explorer offers fast ways to build decks, but ultimately the player must still understand each card and the overall deck’s synergies.
