The Frenzy: Key Takeaways

  • The Frenzy costs 450 credits.
  • The Frenzy has a primary fire that spits ten rounds/second.
  • It’s a sidearm that deals 17-22 (leg), 21-26 (body), and 63-78 (head), per bullet, depending on the distance.

The Frenzy has the highest rate of fire among all sidearms/pistols in Valorant. It excels at being an SMG-like sidearm and is great for use in close to medium-range battles. It’s also quite cheap, making it a solid choice.

Not everyone can use the Frenzy effectively because it can be hard to control, especially when on the move. Find out more about the sidearm through our Frenzy Valorant weapon guide.

The Frenzy is a relatively flexible pistol that allows you to quickly burst enemies in short-range combat and gives you a fighting chance in medium-range encounters. The pricing is perfect because it allows you to grab some utility together with your Frenzy on pistol or eco rounds.

It’s not the best weapon to take out multiple enemies because of its crazy rate of fire and small magazine size. It’s most effective at 0-20 m, where you can still spray and kill enemies with a couple of bullets.

The Frenzy is a solid weapon to pair with the Operator because it excels in areas that the Op simply can’t. And at 450 credits, it’s definitely cheap enough to buy. This makes it a great buy for Agents like Jett or Chamber.

The Basic Stats

The Frenzy has a headshot multiplier of x3, a leg shot multiplier of x0.85, and a 20m+ damage falloff multiplier of x0.808.

It also has a rate of fire of 10 rounds/sec, a reload speed of 1.5s, and a magazine size of 13, with 39 reserve bullets.

Here are the basic damage stats for the Frenzy:

  • 0 – 20 meters – Head (78)
  • 0 – 20 meters – Body (26)
  • 0 – 20 meters – Legs (22)
  • 20 – 50 meters – Head (63)
  • 20 – 50 meters – Body (21)
  • 20 – 50 meters – Legs (17)

Assuming that all of your shots hit, the Frenzy can actually kill with only two headshots in most situations. On average, it would take around one headshot and three body shots to kill people within 20 meters. However, with the insanely high fire rate, this can literally take less than a second if you can hit your shots.

Best Ways to Use the Frenzy

The Frenzy is best used when treated like a Stinger. You’d want to take controlled fights at close range and in small spaces. Areas like the garage door on Haven, the tree on Ascent, and the halls on Pearl, are a few great examples.

You can also use it in the good old run-and-gun fashion only in close and tight spaces. It’s already hard to control the recoil of a weapon with that high of a fire rate. Don’t add the movement error to it in medium-range battles.

For medium-range battles, I highly suggest using it in short and controlled bursts. This allows you to save your bullets while still being able to deal a decent amount of damage.

You should also be going for sure kills, and don’t spam through smokes. With a limited magazine size and a high fire rate, you’re going to run out of bullets quickly, so be smart with how you use them.

The Frenzy is also the perfect weapon for rushing into tight spaces on pistols or ecos. Most pistols won’t be a match for the Frenzy in these situations, unless they can hit some lucky shots.
