The Warrior class in Smite usually promotes a more aggressive playstyle than some of the other classes. All things considered, the role of the Warrior isn’t as coherent as some of the other classes. You have certain Warriors which have a high amount of Physical Power but aren’t as survivable, and you have Warriors that are practically bruisers. I.e, they have a high amount of health and a decent amount of Physical Power.

Because the Warrior class is so variant, what works with one God might not necessarily work for another, so you have to adapt your playstyle accordingly. That is why today we’ll be taking a look at the Warrior class and everything it has to offer us.

Key Takeaways for Smite Warriors Guide

  • Warriors are probably the most universal class in the game
  • Warriors can cover multiple roles, such as Solo Lane, Mid Lane, Carry, and Jungler
  • Because Warriors are so universal, they’re not the best at any one given role

What Kind of Playstyle Do Warriors Have in Smite?

In a previous article, we took a look at Nike, if you’d like to know more about Nike, check out our Smite Nike Guide, where we go into detail about everything she has to offer. So, let’s use her as an example, as she’s probably the best Warrior currently, and definitely among the best Smite Gods.

Because of her abilities, Nike promotes a more aggressive “bruiser” playstyle than other Gods. To play Nike effectively you have to quite literally get in there and wreak havoc among your enemies for as long as possible. She likes to get in the fight and stay there as long as possible (without dying of course). Her ultimate offers her ample survivability to get the job done, however, when playing with Nike, and similar Warriors to Nike, you have to remember that you’re not a Guardian.

Even if you’re playing with a Warrior that’s more survivable, say Sun Wukong, you still have to remember that you’re not a Guardian. Yes, you may have a few abilities or even a passive that allows you to take more damage than the average God, but that doesn’t mean that you should be the one that takes the brunt of the enemy’s damage.

This is the main problem with the Warrior class. Because it’s so universal it can fit many roles, however, because it’s a jack-of-all-trades, it ends up being a master of none. As a Warrior, you’re good for multiple roles, yet, trying to balance all those roles at the same time is foolish and borderline impossible. So, pick the role you’re best at and stick to that!

What Roles Can Warriors Fulfill?

As we said before, Warriors are pretty universal in the roles that they can fulfill. Warriors can go Solo Lane, Jungle, Mid, and they can even be Carries. Although, as was said before, they’re masters of none of these. That fact quickly becomes apparent each time they’re put up against a God that’s specialized for a single role. With that in mind, the most common roles for Warriors are Solo Lane and Jungle.

When playing the Solo Lane, most of the time you’re on your own, but because Warriors are so universal, this usually ends up being a boon for them, rather than a hindrance. The same applies to jungling as a Warrior. Because you’re so universal, you really don’t have to worry about much, you won’t clear camps as fast as an Assassin would, but you’ll get the job done regardless.
