Overall, there’s not much to say about the P2020, it does its job pretty well. It’s a pistol that uses light rounds, and it’s an excellent pickup at the beginning of the round when everyone is scrambling for guns; because, in a pinch, any gun is a good gun. There is also an April Fools version of the P2020 which is actually fully automatic and has a higher damage per shot than the regular P2020. Thankfully it’s only an event item, as it’s technically better than the RE-45.

If the P2020 is Such a Good Gun, Then Why Isn’t it Used More?
The real reason you don’t see many people stick with the P2020 into the match is that it takes up a precious weapon slot. That’s the only reasonable explanation as it’s actually a pretty good pistol, it’s just not as good as say an R-99. Given the choice between an R-99 and the P2020, you’d be insane to go with the P2020. Now, if the P2020 were reworked and could be equipped to a third slot reserved for secondaries, then I think most players would consider it a “must-have”.
The Stats of the P2020
Now let’s take a look at what it can do.
Target | Mods | DMG | 100 | 150 | 175 | 200 | 225 |

Legs | Fort | 14 | 8 | 11 | 13 | 15 | 17 |
Not bad for a pistol, but nothing impressive. The April fools version is a bit better though!

Attachments for the P2020
Here’s what you can attach to your P2020
- 1x HCOG “Classic”
- 1x Holo
- 1x-2x Variable Holo
- 2x HCOG “Bruiser”
- 1x Digital Threat
- Laser Sight
- Extended Light Mag
Ideal P2020 Set-Up
If you’re crazy enough to actually run this thing, here’s how you should go about equipping it for maximum efficiency.
Start by locating a Legendary Extended Light Mag pronto, then, find an Epic Laser Sight. In the end, go for an optic that you like; I personally prefer the 1x HCOG “Classic” or the 2x HCOG “Bruiser”. But if a 1x Digital Threat is available, then go for it!
Can The P2020 Even Compete With Other Pistols?
Sadly, the P2020 is in such a state that it can’t even come close to the performance that the RE-45 or the Wingman can put out. Both the RE-45 and the Wingman have their shortcomings, that’s for sure; yet, even with those shortcomings, they’re still valid weapons to run with. This becomes even more apparent when you finally kit them out (the Wingman at least, the RE-45 comes fully equipped already).
Even if you do manage to go through the painstaking process of fully kitting out your gun, it will still be just a mediocre gun compared to the other weapons available to you. So, unless a 3rd weapon slot is added to the game, make sure to stay away from the P2020 as much as possible.
Potential Balance Changes for the P2020 the Future.
The performance the P2020 is able to put out is decent at the start but quickly falls off. One way it could become viable is if its stats get reworked or, as was mentioned prior, a third weapon slot for secondaries is added to the game. In that case, it might even come in handy to switch to in a pinch if you run dry with your primaries.
