MX Guardian Current META: A-Tier
The MX Guardian is a new addition to Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded meta (see the full Warzone 2.0 Tier-list here). Newly introduced via the Season 4 Reloaded Update, the MX Guardian may be unlocked by completing the D9 sector of the Battle Pass. This weapon has a high rate of fire and mobility with the potential to be a great short-range option.

How to Unlock the MX Guardian
There is currently only one way to unlock the MX Guardian for use in WZ2 or MW2.
Complete Battle Pass Sector
You may unlock the MX Guardian by completing the D9 classified sector of the Battle Pass. The challenges required to complete this sector are:
- Get 10 ADS Operator Kills with Shotguns: Dependable Emblem
- Get 10 Hipfire Operator Kills with Shotguns: Gunfire Calling Card
- Get 10 Headshot Operator Kills with Shotguns: Fanning Hutch Loading Screen
- Get 10 One Shot Operator Kills with Shotguns: 1-Hour Double Weapon XP Token
- Earn All Sector Rewards: MX Guardian
MX Guardian Recommended Equipment
- Tactical equipment: Smoke Grenade. Smoke Grenades are incredibly effective in Warzone 2.0 given the game’s short TTK. Smoke grenades will significantly hinder an opponent’s ability to acquire targets and are a great way to disengage from a fight when the cards are stacked against you.
- Lethal equipment: Drill Charge. In our opinion, this is one of the most ‘broken’ items in the current Warzone 2.0 meta as it gives a massive boost to player awareness, which pairs well with the slow and methodical pace of the current game.
MX Guardian Recommended Perks
- Battle Hardened: You are in close range and this perk will help with all the more annoying enemy equipment. i.e. Flash Grenades, Stun Grenades, etc
- Double Time: Increased movement speed will be critical given the short term, especially for gaining an advantage in Resurgence
- Fast Hands: Again, speed is the name of the game. Swapping between long and close range, reloads — it doesn’t get any better
- High Alert: Always know when an enemy has you in their crosshairs, even if you can’t see them
Potential Balance Changes in the Future for the MX Guardian
The MX Guardian is one of the best shotguns to hit the meta. Recently, we have seen the newly introduced weapons take over the WZ2 meta. This trend could continue and we could see Season 5 weapons replace the MX Guardian at the top of the food chain.
