Stalcraft Armor Guide

Stalcraft does armor a bit differently than other games. At its core, it uses an RPG system both for its armor and weapon systems. However, it does this in a very strange way where it divides the armor types into 3 distinct categories.

This sort of division usually causes a lot of confusion among beginners to Stalcraft, however, it’s really simple once you get the hang of it. You just have to choose carefully which line you’d like to go down, as there are no refunds in Stalcraft.

Do you hate playing alone? After all, it’s better to scavenge the Zone with a battle buddy by your side. If that’s the case, then you should definitely check out the Z League app. Its LFG feature will help find you a gaming buddy in no time.

Key Takeaways for Stalcraft Armor Guide

  • There are three armor types in Stalcraft: Combat, Combo & Scientist.
  • Combat Armors give you the best stats for combat situations.
  • Combo Armors give you a bit of everything, however, they don’t excel at anything in particular.
  • Scientists Armors have one goal and one goal only – to protect their user from the harmful elements of the environment.

Combat Armors in Stalcraft

Stalcraft Armor Guide Combat Armors

The first type of armor in Stalcraft is Combat Armors. These are armors that are specifically designed to excel in combat environments, as such, they have the highest bullet resistance out of the three armor types. This armor type is divided into two trees initially, with a third joining them later on in the game.

Let’s call the top tree the “Combat+” line. These armors are designed to give you the most bullet resistance possible, however, this comes at the cost of your other protections. In other words. You’ll definitely have to go down the Scientist line in tandem with this one.

The second tree can be considered the “Hunter’s” line. This line gives you the most melee damage protection. It’s the most balanced of the three trees, as it gives you a bit of everything.

Now for the last tree. Let’s call the last tree the “Pack Mule” line, as these armors are designed to give you a tremendous boost to your carry weight, but at the cost of your other stats.

Combo Armors in Stalcraft

Combo Armors

Combo Armors are a compromise between Combat armors and Scientist armors. These armor types are usually designed to be all all-around in almost every regard. They’re not the best at any particular stat, but they’re good enough. Combo armors are split into two trees.

The top tree is the “General All-Around” armors. This line takes a while to become optimal, but once you reach the Bar, these armors become incredibly useful.

Let’s call the bottom tree the “Pack Mule Light” armors. These armors are designed to give you an increase in your carry capacity. More often than naught, they also have good protection against the different harmful elements. A generally good all-around line to invest in.

Scientist Armors in Stalcraft

Scientist Armors

Scientist Armors are designed with one goal and one goal in mind – to give you as much protection against the elements as possible. Only the craziest of Stalkers would dare use them in combat situations.

This type of armor only has one line, and, as was just mentioned, it does one thing and one thing only. The good news is that it practically makes you immune to the elements. The bad news is that there are worse things in the Zone than just the elements.

If you do decide to go down this line, do it in tandem with one of the other lines. I.e. wear one of the other armor types and keep your Scientist Armor in your inventory for when you really need it.
