What are Community Days in Pokémon Go
Pokémon Go Community Day is a monthly event in the popular augmented reality mobile game Pokémon Go. During the event, a specific Pokémon species will appear more frequently in the wild, and players will have the opportunity to catch a special version of the featured Pokémon with unique moves. Additionally, certain bonuses, such as increased XP and Stardust, will be available during the event. The event typically lasts for three hours and takes place on a specific weekend day. The Pokémon Go Community Day is a great opportunity for players to catch rare Pokémon, fill up their Pokedex, and engage with other players in their local community.

Community Day Date and Time
The February Community Day event will take place on Sunday, February 5th. As with most Pokémon Go events, the timing is based off your local time, and will take place between 2pm and 5pm local time.
February Pokémon: Noibat
February’s Community Day Pokémon is Noibat, the sound wave Pokémon! Noibat was first introduced in generation VI, and first appeared in the anime in the episode “Calling From Beyond the Aura!”
Noibat is a Dragon/Flying type Pokémon. During the event players will have an increased chance of finding a shiny variant Noibat. Additionally, evolving your Noibat into Noivern during or within 5 hours after the end of the Community Day event will result in your Noivern learning the featured charged attack Boomburst.
Pokémon Go Community Day Special Research Story
Players will have the option to participate in a special research event during the Pokémon Go Community Day event. Tickets for the special research, titled “Abundant Noise”, will be available for $1 USD. Tickets can also be purchased and gifted to friends players have reached friendship level “Great Friends” or higher with.
Event Bonuses
- 3x Stardust for catching Pokémon
- 2× chance for trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- Trades made during the event and up to five hours afterward will require 50% less Stardust
Bonus Raid Battles after Community Day
For 5 hours after the Community Day event ends, Noibat will appear in special four-star Raid Battles. Completing one of these special Raid Battle will cause additional Noibat to appear around the hosting gym for 30 minutes. These Noibat will have the same chance of appearing as shiny as during the Community Day event.
