The highly anticipated return of Nexus Blitz has finally arrived! After its last appearance in patch 11.11, significant adjustments to League’s gameplay mechanics and tech changes were necessary to reintroduce this beloved mode. Riot has been working diligently behind the scenes to resurrect this fan-favorite game mode, promising an enjoyable experience for all players.

Champion Balance Reset

With Nexus Blitz’s revival, all champions have undergone a complete reset of their balance buff percentages. Given the numerous alterations to items, champion reworks, and the durability update since Nexus Blitz’s last iteration, Riot aims to recalibrate the balance and establish a fresh baseline. Although if specific champions become overpowered, Riot has committed to addressing them by either buffing or nerfing accordingly.

Jungle Pets and Changes

Jungle Pets have made their transition from Summoner’s Rift to Nexus Blitz. Notably, these monsters are more nourishing in Nexus Blitz, requiring only half the usual amount of stacks to level up. The alterations between Summoner’s Rift and Nexus Blitz include reducing the stacks needed for stage 2 to 10 (previously 20) and for stage 3 to 20 (previously 40). However, players will no longer receive bonus treats upon fully upgrading their companions.

Event Spawn Adjustments

Event spawns have been a concern in Nexus Blitz since its inception. Previously, it was possible to fall behind in power while still having events favor the leading team. To address this, changes have been made to promote a fairer gaming experience. Specifically, events such as Loot Veigar, Loot Teemo, all variants of Bardle Royale, King of the Hill, and DPS Race will now spawn neutrally or favor the team that’s lagging. Bug fixes for Prize Fight and URF Deathmatch have also been implemented to ensure proper ability cooldown resets at the start and end of each round.

Champions Adjustments

Akshan

Akshan’s revival mechanics weren’t as beneficial for his teammates, especially when navigating through a fiery map during a deathmatch. Consequently, to compensate for the reduced travel time, his teammates will now revive with significantly lower HP when killed outside the closing ring in Bardle Royale.

Bel’Veth

Bel’Veth’s progression towards her Void Empress form was hindered by the previous singular access to an Epic Void Coral from Rift Herald. Now, an Enhanced Void Coral will drop from enemy jungle guardians, providing a high-risk, high-reward opportunity for her to achieve her True Form.

Ivern

Ivern’s passive jungle style had caused issues in previous Nexus Blitz releases, particularly in a duo-jungling environment. Riot has made adjustments to allow Ivern to battle jungle monsters more conventionally, welcoming him back to Nexus Blitz while disabling his Friend of the Forest passive.

Item Adjustments

Modifications to several items include reductions in Lifeline and Spectral Cutlass’s active cooldowns, and an update to Innervating Locket, which now restores missing health and mana after using an ability.

Jungle Monster Adjustments

To account for the overall increase in damage due to the addition of jungle pets, several balance changes have been applied to jungle camps. This includes health and damage adjustments for various jungle monsters such as Scuttler, Krugs, Murk Wolves, Raptors, Bramblebacks, Blue and Red Sentinels, as well as the Rift Herald.
