Crafting Materials in Stalcraft

If you want to get a load of crafting materials in Stalcraft it’s actually really easy, you just have to prepare properly beforehand. Or, as the old adage goes: “Measure something twice, because you only get one chance to cut it.”

Getting the most resources in the quickest and most efficient way possible is really simple if you know the right methods to go about it. Gone will be the days of having to farm endlessly for a single upgrade Stalker!

Do you hate playing alone? After all, it’s better to scavenge the Zone with a battle buddy by your side. If that’s the case, then you should definitely check out the Z League app. Its LFG feature will help find you a gaming buddy in no time.

Key Takeaways for Crafting Materials in Stalcraft

  • There are three types of crafting materials in Stalcraft.
  • Monster Dens are the most lucrative and the most dangerous. Ideally, bring a shotgun for these.
  • Stashes are the slowest to farm and the most unpredictable. It’s a smart idea to passively farm these.
  • World events are the trickiest to farm, however, if you know what you’re doing, you won’t have to worry about anything.

How Many Crafting Resources Are in Stalcraft?

Stalcraft has dozens of resources spread out throughout its many areas, although, each of them can be classified into one of the following three categories:

  1. Resources that you get from monster dens
  2. Resources that you scavenge from dig sites
  3. Resources that you get from world events

It’s important to distinguish between these three, as you’ll ultimately have to take that fact into consideration when you’re preparing to head out. If you depart on a foray without the proper preparations beforehand, you’re going to suffer.

At best, you’ll come home empty-handed. At worst, you’ll die.

How to Farm Monster Dens

Crafting Materials in Stalcraft

Farming monster dens is probably the most lucrative method for acquiring rubles. However, it’s also the most dangerous method. The worst thing that can happen to you while farming monster dens is running out of ammunition.

This isn’t bad because you’ll be at the mercy of the monsters, far from it, you can simply outrun them. The real reason this situation is bad is because you’ll be at the mercy of enemy players. After all, a Bandit’s favorite meal is prey that can’t defend itself.

One more thing you should consider before heading out to farm monster dens is your weapon loadout. Shotguns are the best weapon type for farming monsters but are rather ineffective against humanoids.

Make sure to bring a lot of medkits as well. You can scavenge them from the area you’re in, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

How to Farm Dig Sites

This one is a bit more complicated than the last one, as there are two preconditions that you’ll have to achieve first. The first one is getting the proper metal detector, while the second one has to deal with Stalcraftmap.

Leglet

Once you’ve reached the Cordon, you’ll get access to metal detectors. These are instrumental for finding hidden stashes, as you literally cannot do so without them. However, there is one metal detector in the game that is significantly better than the rest – the SN-2u Leglet.

You won’t immediately have access to the Leglet, and you can’t craft it conventionally. So, how do you get it? Easy! To get the Leglet, all you have to do is a simple quest. That’s it! It’s free, and it’s the best metal detector in the game, it can’t get any better than that. Now for the second part.

Cache Locations

After you’ve gotten the Leglet, go onto Stalcraft maps. We mentioned Stalcraftmap in our Stalcraft Beginner Tips and Tricks guide. If you’ve read the guide, then I’m sure you’re familiar with how useful of a tool it actually is.

The specific feature we’re interested in is the “Stashes” button on the left-hand side of the screen. Once checked, it’ll show you all the areas on the map where you can farm stashes.

Farming stashes is a long and infuriating process, so don’t be disheartened right away. It’s a smart idea to always have a metal detector on you so that you’re able to passively farm stashes on your treks throughout the Zone.

How to Farm Resources from Events

Events become available to you once you reach the Bar. These are usually anomalies that occur throughout the world. Each one of them has a particular method of going about them, however, the most common one is the anomalies.

Anomalous Installation

To farm anomalies, you’ll need an Anomalous Installation. These are quite cumbersome, so you won’t be able to carry more than a few. It’s also a smart idea to carry a weapon that has a single-shot mode, as you’ll have to take care of the spirits that spawn from the installations.

Another type of world event is the Proton-Electron cluster. These don’t require any special equipment. All you need to do is run around in circles until the event finishes. Easier, but more dangerous, as your guard is down.
