What is available in the XDefiant Closed Beta?
Ubisoft’s XDefiant closed beta is now available worldwide to all players until April 23 at 11 PM PT. The beta for this free-to-play shooter features:
- All 14 maps available at launch
- 24 weapons
- 44 attachments
- 4 of the available factions
- Crossplay on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5

How to Acquire a XDefiant Closed Beta Key
You can currently acquire beta codes in a handful of ways. The absolute easiest way and most reliable way is to head over to Twitch and watch participating streams that have the beta code drop enabled. Two other methods would be watching social media and signing up on the game’s website. However, very few people have been successful using these two methods.
Watch Partnered Twitch streams
- Ensure your Twitch and Ubisoft are connected!
- Watch a participating partner stream while logged into your Twitch account for 30 minutes prior to April 18th at 11 AM PT
- Open your Drops and Rewards Inventory on Twitch
- Claim the reward
- Ubisoft will email you the Beta access code!
Where to Redeem Keys
- Head to the Ubisoft redemption page
- Connect using your Ubisoft account
- Enter your code and Choose your preferred platform
Once you’ve done these steps, Ubisoft will email you a confirmation of entry into the Closed Beta and the download link for the game!
