Limited Run Games (LRG) is in hot water, accused of selling burned CD-Rs instead of the promised pressed discs for their $69 games. Fans are not happy with the alleged practices of the company.

Summary

  • LRG faces criticism for allegedly selling burned CD-Rs for high prices.
  • Fans express frustration over the reported lack of quality control.
  • Competition is needed in the physical collector’s releases market to hold LRG accountable.

LRG’s Reputation

LRG desperately need more competition. They’re the first choice for the biggest companies to handle physical/collector’s releases these days, and have discovered they can squander as much good will as a company possibly can because they know buyers have no alternative. Fangamer and iam8bit are the only other ones I’m aware of, but they need to step up.

Customer Dissatisfaction

I really dislike this company and it sucks that they get limited releases like this. I can’t even use PayPal anymore to protect my purchases. It’s a shame to see such practices affecting loyal customers.

Quality Control Woes

Man, it really sucks that LRG is the only way to get Physical Wayforward games. The quality of the discs should be a top priority, especially when customers are paying a premium for these limited releases.

Shipping Nightmares

Why is it that the main companies making limited runs of games are all failing at customer service? Every purchase seems to come with its own set of issues. From missed deadlines to broken games, fans are fed up with the lack of reliability.

LRG reportedly being owned by Embracer Group adds another layer to the discussion, raising questions about accountability and quality standards.
