Gunfire Reborn – June 1st

Gunfire Reborn is an endearing level-based FPS featuring roguelike elements as well as RPG elements. You can choose from a list of unique characters to blast your way through your enemies to achieve your mission.

The art style is a bit more cartoony than the usual grimness of roguelike shooters, that, however, doesn’t take away from the game, it just adds to its charm. Arguably the most exciting feature that this game has is the 4-player co-op. There are few things more entertaining than getting your group of friends together and causing chaos (in a video game, of course).

Street Fighter 6 – June 2nd

The Street Fighter series needs no introduction as it’s one of the most beloved series in gaming. Almost every 90s kid has fond memories of playing Street Fighter, either at home or at the arcade.

Street Fighter 6 brings a slew of new characters into the universe, as well as fan favorites from previous games. The visuals are amazing, what we’ve seen of the combat so far is amazing, and if previous entities in the series are anything to go by, then Street Fighter 6 is almost guaranteed to be amazing as well.

Diablo 4 – June 6th

Diablo 4 is one of the games being released in June 2023 and is probably the most anticipated game of the year as well. The Diablo series likewise needs no introduction, the original Diablo back in the 90s practically started its own genre thanks to its popularity.

After the debacle that was Diablo Immortal in 2022, there’s a lot riding on Diablo 4. However, considering the fact that the game has been in development for years now, we can only hope that it’s had enough time to become the best possible product. That being said, a long development time doesn’t necessarily mean a good game. Take the case of Duke Nukem: Forever, for example.

Final Fantasy 16 – June 22nd

Final Fantasy 16 is the latest entry in the Final Fantasy series, and it will most likely not be the “Final” Fantasy. From what we’ve seen so far, the game is going to be bigger than anything we’ve ever seen before in a Final Fantasy game, with a slew of new mechanics, as well as a few reworked mechanics.

Needless to say, the game looks eye-wateringly beautiful, a testament to the developer’s love and hard work that they put into the game.

Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed – June 27th

The Destroy All Humans! series is an endearing franchise of video games that is criminally underrated. Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed is one of the games that is being released in June 2023. Hopefully, this entry in the series will earn the franchise the recognition it deserves.

There’s nothing more entertaining than playing the stereotypical condescending Martian that’s come to Earth to, well, “destroy all humans”. And by the looks of it, the 2nd game will give us even more toys to mess around with. How exciting!

Crime Boss: Rockay City – June 30th

Crime Boss: Rockay City is the latest entry into the heist genre of games, however, there has been a lot of skepticism surrounding this game. Many critics believe that this game relies too heavily on celebrity faces to drive its sales and that the game offers nothing unique.

We’ll have to see if there’s any merit to those critiques on June 30th. So far, the experience looks alright. You get to pick from a roster of unique characters that try and pull off a heist/s. if it all goes well – you can retire early. If it goes bad, however, then all hell breaks loose!
