Jarvis the NPC

Tekken has a new character, Alisa. Here are some thoughts from the Tekken community.

Summary

  • Alisa players find her unique and fun to play.
  • Some players dislike her chainsaw moves for being too powerful.
  • Others appreciate her storyline and combos.

Love for Alisa

As an Alisa main, chainsaws need to be dialled down a notch from 10 to maybe 8 or 9. Aside from that, she’s fairly chaotic to play against in the most fun way possible. Most of the low rank Alisas are essentially on crack, where you’re not sure what move they’re going to pick from their 180+ movelist. Add in players who have poor defensive punishment, and she gets away scot-free with most of her gimmicks. – Rolopolos

Hate for Alisa

I hate that her dad is apparently a huge perv cause like why design a robot based on your daughter to look like that? I hate that her and Lars seem like the first designs that became wayyy too overly anime in Tekken. I hate that story wise she’s probably a way better designed robot than Jack who still needs to be collecting data for over 20 years. I like that Dr.B is still relevant. – BroShutUp

Community Opinions

Love: My girlfriend likes her and that gives her more reason to talk about Tekken with me. Hate: She was the first character to be released in Tekken that, to me, felt like she just didn’t belong. No basis in any martial art, but also not wacky in any funny way to make up for that. Just a bog-standard anime robot girl. Her character can be found in any seasonal anime. I’d rather have her creator than her playable. – TheRedBlueberry

Love that so many scrubs get fucked by her so bad that they hate her. – ReadBerk
