Smite’s Ah Puch is one of the more interesting Gods in the game. Not only is he one of the best Smite Gods currently, but he also probably has some of the best skins in Smite as well.

Playing with Ah Puch is always a fun experience, his combo is one of the strongest combos in the game, if paired with the right items, he can deliver a punch that will have the enemy feeling it till next year.

You might be interested to hear that we have an app, if you hate playing alone, then Z League’s app is the application for you.

Without further ado, let’s get into the guide about Smite’s very own Ah Puch.

Key Takeaways for Smite Ah Puch Guide

  • Ah Puch is one of the strongest mages in the game
  • Don’t forget, enemy corpses restore your health and mana as well as give your spells extra effects
  • Ah Puch probably has some of the coolest skins in the game

Ah Puch’s Abilities

Smite Ah Puch Guide Ah Puch Abilities

Starting off with his passive we have Hollow Ground. Hollow Ground allows Ah Puch to reduce the cooldown of his first and second abilities by 2 seconds each time he walks over a corpse. On top of that, he also restores a percentage of his missing health and mana.

His first ability, Undead Surge sends out two decaying corpses in a line that explode upon contact with the enemy. Not only does it deal some damage, but it also slows down any enemies that have been hit by it, as well as reducing any healing that they may receive.

Corpse Explosion is his second ability. It’s an area-of-effect spell that deals damage to any enemies caught in it, but here’s the catch. If there’s a corpse in the area it also explodes and deals further damage.

His third ability is Fleeting Breath. It’s another area-of-effect spell that has a slightly smaller radius though, it is however a DoT spell. The good thing about this spell is that if an enemy support heals the afflicted god they get stunned for a short duration. If you’re initiating fights, you want to start with this ability first.

Empty the Crypts is his ultimate ability, and it has one of the largest zones of all the abilities in the game. Not only do the wraiths hurt like hell (from whence they came), but they also reduce the healing of any enemies hit by them by 20% per stack, up to a maximum of 3 stacks.

Ideal Ah Puch Build

Ah Puch Items

With Ah Puch, maximum magical power is the name of the game. You want your alpha strike to make the enemy feel as if they’re being hit by a truck.

Start with the basics. A Vampiric Shroud along with a Lost Artifact should be your starting items, along with the usual assortment of potions and relics. A Blink Rune and Purification Beads will go a long way. I’d also recommend a Horn Shard as you want to be able to spam your abilities.

For core items, you should upgrade your starters into a Sacrificial Shroud and a Chronos’ Pendant. Now that you have your basics, grab a Tablet of Destinies and start building those stacks. Following the tablet, get the obligatory Spear of Magnus, an Obsidian Shard, and finally, the Perfected Rod of Tahuti.

With all these items combined, you will probably inspire the enemy to turn the other way when they see you coming.

Tips for Playing With Ah Puch

  • Your spell combo should be 3-1-2-4 for maximum efficiency
  • Walk over every corpse if you have the opportunity, that way you’re basically assured not to have to return to base to restore your health and mana.
  • CC is your worst enemy, avoid getting CC’d by properly positioning yourself and taking unfair fights.
