FAQ

Have any questions?

General

How are divisions formed?

Our skill-ranking algorithm analyzes all of your historical Warzone stats to place you into a division with players of a similar skill level. As time goes on and we host more tournaments with more players, the algorithm improves on its own to better rank teams.

How do kill race tournaments work?

Z League hosts kill race tournaments, here is a breakdown of how they work:

  • Enter as many public Warzone games as you want with your team during your tournament's allotted time period.
  • Every kill you get is 1 point and additional points are awarded based on how well your team places in that game.
  • We take the scores (kills + placement points) of your best games to determine your total score.
  • The teams with the highest scores win the corresponding prizes.

Can I make changes to my team or edit teammates after registering?

As long as registration hasn't closed, you can still make changes to your team. You can view the status of and make changes to your upcoming tournament teams here: My Profile

Can I change my Platform ID before the tournament?

No, you cannot change your Platform ID before the tournament if you have already registered.

Is my team registered?

You will receive an email once your team is fully registered.

What is the minimum number of games required to play in a Z League Tournament?

Z League requires 100 Battle Royale or Resurgence games on Caldera, Rebirth Island, Verdansk, or Fortune's Keep maps in order to enter the Warzone tournaments. Other game modes such as multiplayer and plunder would not count towards this requirement.

Absentee Policy

What if I can't make it to the tournament I registered for?

Plans change, and we get that. However, not showing up to tournaments makes the competition less fun for everyone else in your division. If you can't make it to a tournament you've registered for, unregister before registration closes for the tournament.

If you have 3 no-shows in a 7-day period, you'll only be able to register for one tournament at a time. Once you no longer have 3 no-shows in the past 7 days, your access will be restored to register for as many tournaments as you want!

How do I unregister from a tournament?

  1. Go to the My Tournaments page.
  2. Select the tournament you need to withdraw from in "Upcoming tournaments".
  3. Click "View details"
  4. Scroll down to the Unregister button
  5. Click Unregister

Streaming & Scoring

Do participants have to stream their gameplay?

You are not required to stream your gameplay. Our live standings are automatically updated throughout the duration of the tournament.

How do I track my score during the tournament?

Z League built a live scoring tracker so you don't have to submit your scores during or after the tournament. You will receive a link to your tournament's live scoring page a few minutes before your tournament begins. Scores will be updated throughout the tournament so you can see exactly how you’re performing compared to the rest of your division.

How does my team earn points?

Our point system is pretty simple. 1 point for every kill and bonus points based on how you place in your games. We will only be counting your best games in terms of total (kills + placement) points to determine the winner. You will be able to track how your team is doing on the real-time scoreboard.

Points per game

  • Each kill is worth 1 point.
  • Teams earn points based on final placement and total kills.
  • Final scores are determined by the sum of your highest scoring games. Depending on the tournament format, this can range from 1 to 4 games.

What happens in the event of a tie?

In the event of a tie, most kills across teams' top games will be used as the first tie break. The second tie break will be the number of wins across teams' top games. The third tie break will be the fewest number of games played. If teams are still tied, the prize for the position and next position will be split between teams. For clarity, if two teams are tied in p2 after accounting for points, total team kills, wins and number of games played, the prize for p2 and p3 would be split by the teams.

Prizes & Credits

How do prizes work?

All prizes advertised are payouts based on a fully fielded division. In the rare case that we are unable to field a full division based on your skill level, the prize pool will be pro-rated based on the number of participants in a given division. All participants playing in a modified division will be notified via email prior to tournament commencement. Z League offers skills based competition and strives to ensure that participants are matched based on their skills. Winners will be contacted within 12 hours of scores being finalized. Winners must have completed an identity verification prior to prizes being awarded. Depending on method of payment, you may be subject to fees. Z League is not responsible for any fees charged by third parties.

How do I cash out my balance

Initiating a cash out

  1. From the profile menu, click on "Account Settings".
  2. At the top of the page under your account balance, tap the "cash out" button.
Identity verification

Any cash out will require you to verify the name associated with your account with a valid government-issued ID through Persona — our 3rd-party ID verification partner.

Fees

There are two fees associated with cash outs — a processing fee, and a PayPal fee. The PayPal fee is instituted by PayPal, and varies based on the cash out amount and your location. The processing fee is $2.

What happens if there is a smaller division?

All prizes advertised are payouts based on a fully fielded division. In the rare case that we are unable to field a full division based on your skill level, the prize pool will be pro-rated based on the number of participants in a given division. All participants playing in a modified division will be notified via email prior to tournament commencement.

What are Z League credits?

Z League credits can be earned for referrals or as prizes for tournaments. You can exchange credits for prizes in the Shop or select tournaments.

Z League Members can use credits to enter additional tournaments with cash prizes.

Cheat Prevention

How does Z League ensure fair play?

Z League has a thorough cheat detection process which is run prior to finalizing tournament standings. All scores are considered tentative pending the outcome of this review. Z League reserves the right to disqualify and permanently ban teams that are suspected of cheating in any form. This includes hacks, smurfing and reverse-boosting. Anyone suspected of cheating will not be eligible for prizing or future tournament play and will be notified upon conclusion of the tournament.

Refunds

What is our refund policy?

No refunds will be issued after a tournament has started. Teams may receive a refund less a payment transaction fee up to 24 hours prior to tournament start time. If a player or team does not show up for a tournament, they forfeit their right to a refund. If a team is suspected of cheating in a tournament, they forfeit their right to a refund.

Stats

How are my stats numbers calculated on the main graph?

The graph represents a moving average of your previous 50 matches. Each data point represents an average of 50 matches played. You can use the toggle button to see your 50-game average performance across different game modes.

How are my ZLeague attributes calculated?

Your attributes on the right side of the stats page show your performance compared to the rest of ZLeague Warzone players. The closer your score is to 100, the higher you stand compared to everyone else in a given attribute. You can use the game mode toggle button to see how your ZLeague attributes change across different modes.

How can I share my stats on social media?

Your account is assigned a public stats link that allows you to share your scores with your network. This link can be found under the Share my Stats button button on your stats page.

What do the Precision and Medic attributes in my ZLeague stats measure?

The Precision attribute is calculated based on the number of headshots that succeeded. The Medic attribute is calculated based on the total successful revives.

Arcade Mode

What games are available in Arcade Mode?

Right now, just Warzone and Apex Legends. We'll be adding more games as soon as we can.

Are there any requirements to play?

All you'll need is an Activision account and Warzone installed on your computer or console. There's no minimum match requirement for Arcade Mode.

Do I have to play in Solos game mode?

You can play in any solos, duos, trios, or quads lobby. If you play with a team, we will only track your kills, not the kills of your teammates.

How does it work?

You'll be assigned a kill count challenge based on your stats. There are 3 levels of credit prizes — each level is a little more challenging than the last. You'll have one hour to get as many kills as possible in any game mode. Since you're competing against your own stats, the kill counts will change as your skills improve.

Can I play in a tournament and Arcade Mode at the same time?

You cannot play in a tournament and Arcade Mode of the same game simultaneously.

When does the timer start?

The 60-minute timer begins after your skill-based objectives have been calculated and you click/tap “Play now.”

How many Arcade Mode games can I play?

There is no limit to the number of times you play Arcade Mode in a day, but you can only earn credits once per day.

How are scores tracked?

We gather your gameplay details directly from your linked Activision account.

How long does it last?

60 minutes. Beginning when you click/tap “Play now” after your objectives have been calculated.

If I cancel, do I get the credits from that session?

You will not get any of the credits earned in that Arcade session. If you were eligible to earn credits for that Arcade session, you will still be eligible to earn credits in your next Arcade session.
