Key Takeaways For The Maximum Level in Apex Legends

  • The maximum level is level 500
  • Each level up after level 58 is capped at 18.000 XP
  • You can unlock a maximum of 199 Apex Packs
  • You unlock Legend Tokens each level though

Today we’ll be taking a look at an important question, “what is the maximum level in Apex Legends?”. This is quite a good question actually, as levels are integral to the Apex Legends experience.

We talked about the fastest ways to level up in Apex Legends before, what we didn’t touch on however was what leveling up entailed. If leveling up was a pointless cause then no one would be doing it.

Leveling up shouldn’t be lonely though, so why not head over to the Z League app and find a buddy to play with?

Without further ado, let’s take a look at what leveling up actually gives you.

Rewards For Leveling Up in Apex Legends

The most notable reward that you get from leveling up is Apex Packs, and everybody loves Apex Packs… especially when they’re free. You don’t need me to tell you why Apex Packs are so good, they’re one of the main ways in which you can unlock new skins for your guns and your legends.

The second reward that you get is Legend Tokens. We discussed legend tokens previously when we looked at the types of resources in Apex Legends. Legend Tokens are probably the most important type of resource of the basic three resource types, as Legend Tokens allow you to unlock new legends. A level up gives you 600 Legend Tokens, and seeing as every legend in the game costs 12.000 Legend Tokens… you’re gonna have to save a lot.

One final reward that you get is badges, you earn a new badge every 10 levels starting at level 110 and up to level 500. While not as significant as the previous two rewards, it’s still nice to be able to show off the results of our hard work.

Ok, But What is The Maximum Level in Apex Legends?

As of right now, the maximum level cap in Apex Legends is level 500. This might seem like a lot, and, well, it actually is! Players who have around a 1000 hours in the game have reported that that isn’t enough to reach level 500. So, if you’re set on being one of the few players who have managed to reach 500, you’re going to need to invest a lot of time!

This wasn’t always the case however, as once upon a time the maximum level cap was a measly level 100. The change was actually a good thing, as it increased the amount of Apex Packs that you could unlock from 45 to 199.

When Do You Unlock Apex Packs?

The Maximum Level in Apex Legends

The burning question is, “when do you unlock Apex Packs?”. Apex Packs are separated into three ranges.

From levels 2 -20, you unlock an Apex Pack at every level.

From levels 22 – 300, you unlock an Apex Pack at every two levels.

And finally, from levels 305 – 500, you unlock an Apex Pack every five levels.

As you can see, the amount of Apex Packs that you unlock gets lower and lower the more you play, but, you’ll be happy to know at least that you still gain 600 Legend Tokens at each level up, that isn’t gone at least.

How Much Experience is Required For a Level Up?

The experience required for a level-up gradually increases until you reach level 58. After level 58, the experience required for a level-up caps at 18.000 XP points. What this means effectively is that after level 58, each subsequent level-up will only take 18.000 XP points; regardless if you are level 60, or level 460.
