Key Takeaways For The Best R-301 Skins in Apex Legends

  • The list is comprised solely of unlockable skins

Before we take a look at what are the best R-301 skins in Apex Legends, we must set some ground rules first.

Our Choices for Best R-301 Skins in Apex Legends

For starters, this list was chosen based on the skins that are constantly available to unlock in the loadout section. What this means is that a lot of the skins that are part of events or are limited editions are not present.

That being said, we’d love to hear what you think is the best R-301 skin in Apex Legends. Join the conversation on the Z League app – you can even show off your favorite skins on the feed!

R-301 Unsheated Rebellion

Best R-301 Skins in Apex Legends

For fans of Japanese culture and the aesthetic, then there’s probably not a better skin for you. My favorite detail is the mini katana attached underneath the barrel. This skin is absolutely breathtaking, from the flower petals to the clan symbol and the random wiring on the grip and magazine. Definitely one for the collection, especially if you pair it with the Inner Demon skin for Ash, or any of the Imperial Guard skins for that matter.

R-301 The Last Spartan

The Last Spartan

This looks like something straight out of Borderlands rather than ancient Greece or Apex Legends for that matter, but it’s just so pleasing. I don’t know what does it for me, maybe it’s the chain wrapped around the gun, or it’s the golden and wooden coloring; whatever it is, it makes for one pretty gun.

One thing’s for sure though, if you’re using this skin, you’re definitely ready for a glorious death on the battlefield.

R-301 Dynastic Cycle

Dynastic Cycle

If you’re a fan of the “softer” side of Japanese culture, then the Dynastic Cycle skin for the R-301 might interest you. The Deynastic Cycle is very reminiscent of a Japanese painting, with its bright pastel colors. Thankfully, the mini katana is still there underneath the barrel.

Funnily enough, the Dynastic Cycle and the Unshreated Rebellion make for great couple skins; nothing’s more wholesome than having matching skins with your significant other in-game.

R-301 Trial by Fire

Trial by Fire

Even though the Trial by Fire is just a purple skin (unlike the previous entries), it’s probably one of, if not the best purple skins in the game. There’s just something about seeing a crimson-red R-301 that is so vicious yet so pleasing.

If red is your favorite color, then you can’t miss with the Trial by Fire skin. In my opinion, it pairs great with Revenant’s Demon Hunter skin; if you’re gonna go out and assassinate a bunch of people, there’s simply no excuse to not look good while doing it.

R-301 Solstice

Solstace

If you’re a fan of paintings, then the Solstice skin might seem familiar to you. This homage to Van Gogh is good enough to rival his Starry Night perfectly.

There’s something so surreal and yet so captivating when it comes to Post-Impressionist artwork, and surprisingly, it works amazingly as a weapon paint job. Who knew?

If you have a taste for the finer things in life, then the Solstice skin might be for you, don’t let the fact that it’s just a blue skin dissuade you from getting it.
