With so much variety between them, ranking the best Apex Legends maps is definitely a tricky challenge. What one player likes may not be the same as what another player likes; some like big open spaces, while others prefer small confined spaces.

But, with excellent map designs like World’s Edge or Broken Moon, there’s something for everyone! So, without further ado, let’s take a look at what spot the different maps are placed at.

Oh, and if you’re looking to meet new people, you should consider checking out the Z League app; it’s better to play with friends, right?

Key Takeaways For the Best Apex Legends Maps Ranked

  • World’s Edge is the best map in Apex Legends by far
  • A close second is Broken Moon, which is also the newest map in Apex Legends
  • The worst map in Apex Legends is Olympus, which is probably why it is rarely in rotation

The Best Apex Legends Maps

#1: World’s Edge

World's Edge

You simply can’t go wrong with World’s Edge, as it has it all! Do you enjoy long-distance combat? Check! Word’s Edge is quite spacious, so there are open spaces everywhere for you to explore and traverse. Maybe you prefer close-quarters fighting? It has that too, the most notable spots are Fragment and Big Maude, and many more.

You can play however you want on this map. Do you prefer looting more than fighting? Great! There’s abundant loot everywhere. Maybe you prefer high-risk, high-reward action? Well then, dropping in Fragment will give you that kind of experience 9 times out of 10. Because of all these qualities, World’s Edge simply must take the #1 spot.

#2: Broken Moon

Broken Moon

Broken Moon may be the newest map in Apex Legends, but it’s quickly become a fan favorite. Unlike World’s Edge, Broken Moon is quite confined with a lot of nooks and crannies to explore. Plus, there are zip lines everywhere, which promotes a rather fast-paced playstyle, As we mentioned in our Broken Moon rotation guide. The faster you’re able to traverse the map, the better for you in the long run.

One thing that’s really interesting about Broken Moon is that its design is a product of years of experience behind it, as such, there’s never a dull moment on this map. Simply put, it’s a map that’s earned the #2 spot. The only reason it’s not #1 is that there’s nothing that can replace World’s Edge, it’s just that good.

#3: Storm Point

Storm Point

Storm Point comes in at #3. The reason it’s in that position is because it falls somewhere in the middle between World’s Edge and Broken Moon. It’s got some open spaces, but not too many; it also has some close-quarters fighting, but again, not too many. As a map, Storm Point tries to do what World’s Edge does, have a bit of everything, it’s just that it isn’t that easy to match World’s Edge.

One unique feature about the map is that it’s quite “vertical”, which makes traversing the map an interesting experience; just grab a Trident and hit the boost! If you manage to get together a group of friends on this map, you’re almost guaranteed a whale of a time.

#4: Kings Canyon

Kings Canyon Apex

Kings Canyon has gone through quite a few changes over the years, it’s probably the most reworked map in the game. The map itself isn’t bad, it has a bit of everything, if you like long-range engagements in open spaces, you have it. If you like close-quarters engagements, you have that too. It just feels like the map never nailed down the formula just right.

Kings Canyon was the first map in the game, and just like with most things, you don’t really get them right on the first try.

#5: Olympus

Olympus Apex

Ahh, Olympus; you either love it or you hate it. I for one have fallen off the map far too many times, so I’m part of the second group. Olympus has a lot of high-octane action, similar to Broken Moon. What Broken Moon gets right however is the map design regarding traversal and moving from point A to point B. With Olympus that’s a bit more complex as your main form of transport is the Trident.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with that, but if every confrontation you have is just a drive-by, it eventually gets stale. Which sadly places Olympus in the last spot at #5.
