How Many Items Are There in Smite?

There are a whopping 313 items currently in Smite. That’s a lot of items to memorize, thankfully you don’t need to memorize them all. In reality, you need to memorize about 50 or so items, which is still quite a lot, but not 313 “a lot”.

If you like playing with a certain God more than with others, then you practically have to learn the best items for your given God. There’s no such thing as a universal build after all, so you have to learn to adapt your build according to the situation at hand.

How Many Item Categories Are There in Smite?

Smite Items Guide

What is a Build in Smite?

Build

A specific composition of items is called a build. This isn’t a unique concept of Smite, any game that has items also has builds in it. Builds are an integral part of the game, it doesn’t matter whether you’re playing as a Mage or as a Guardian, each and every God requires a proper build to be able to unleash their full potential.

Thankfully there are many sites online that specialize in Smite builds. These sites are usually community driven so the information on there is almost always relatively fresh. It’s important to keep up with what’s new in “build crafting theory”, as every time a new patch rolls around everything changes; what worked yesterday might not necessarily work today.

What is God Builder in Smite?

God Builder is one of the most interesting and useful mechanics in Smite. In short, God Builder allows you to “built out” your God before going into a match. This means that you’re able to select which items you’d want to build for them and which abilities you’d like to take for said God.

This is useful if you find yourself playing with a particular God often and want to compose a list of “go-to” items that you almost always run with said God. It’s also nice that you can select the sequence in which you’d like to purchase said God’s abilities.

Of course, for all of this to work you’d have to have auto-purchase enabled for both items and abilities. After you do that, gone are the days of you having to navigate through hundreds of items just to find the right ones for the job, you can just sit back, relax, and focus on playing the game.
