It’s mid-season update time. In about two weeks from now we’ll see another major update for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
Us Call of Duty players are always maxing out on new content within days of launches so Activision has been hard at work to keep us on our toes at all times.
If you didn’t know, each season of CoD typically comes with two major updates which includes the mid-season release. They’re called “reloaded” releases and they’ve become a hot topic for the franchise. MW2 and WZ2 are no different, including DMZ for WZ2.

Here are the key dates you should be looking out for
MW2 Season 1 Reloaded Update Release Date
According to our sources, Season 1 Reloaded Update will be launching on the week of December 12. Looking at historic release dates, it’s likely that it will be on Wednesday, December 14 at 1pm EST. That’s right, new content right before the holidays to end the year on a high note.
The official date isn’t public yet but we did see that CoD blog mentioned about CODE Bowl III “taking place right after the Season 01 mid-season update Dec. 15 to 18”.
Get ready for new content such as the enhanced version of Shipment in MW2. It will likely be on a larger ship and come with 2 XP events. Word on the street is that we’ll also see two new operators; Gaz and Klaus. They’ll both be available in the store.
Saving best for last, the newest weapon coming to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is the Chimera assault rifle. This AR comes with a built-in suppressor and was formerly known as the Honey Badger. This weapon was previously within the COD series in COD Ghosts. With this gun, you’ll have laser accuracy back in your hands.
