Key Takeaways for Smite Healer Builds

  • Every Smite Healer build has two goals, survival, and utility
  • Preventive medicine is much better than having to heal your teammates later on
  • Grabbing the right starter item is absolutely necessary for Healer builds, of which, Benevolence is the best choice.

There are many Smite Healer Builds on the internet, yet, all healer builds try to accomplish approximately the same 2 goals:

  1. Help your team out by keeping them alive in the most crucial moments
  2. Survive for as long as possible so that you’re able to keep supporting your teammates

There are many ways to achieve those two goals, as there are quite literally hundreds of items in Smite. However, certain items are much better at getting the job done than other items. Such as the following items.

The Most Important Healer Items

Heroism

Smite Healer Builds Heroism

Sometimes, the biggest heroes aren’t the ones who can deal the most damage but the ones who can prevent the most damage. Heroism is the perfect item for that, as it helps out not just yourself, but any nearby teammates as well.

Heroism gives you +400 Health, +20 HP5, and +20 MP5. Its passive also gives you 8 GP5 if you have the lowest gold on your team. But the reason we want this is for the second effect, which gives any nearby teammates hit by a hard CC a shield equal to 15% of your Maximum Health.

Preventive medicine is much better anyways, so if you give your teammates a shield that absorbs most of the damage coming their way, you’re effectively eliminating the need to heal them later on.

Rod of Asclepius

Rod of Asclepius

The Rod of Asclepius is another one of your core items. It gives you everything you need and more. It’s a perfectly balanced item for all your supporting needs.

Rod of Asclepius gives you +90 MP, +250 Health, and +250 Mana. Its passive increases your Healing Dealt by 30%. As an added effect, it also gives you an aura that increases the Cooldown Reduction of any allies near you.

Simply put, when running Smite Healer builds, you have to have this item. As Healer builds aren’t as effective without it. You’re not completely ineffective without it, you’ll just have to waste a lot more time and Mana if you don’t have this item.

Fae-Blessed Hoops

Fae-Blessed Hoops

Fae-Blessed Hoops is another item that you absolutely need as a healer. It’s sad however how many players don’t even know that this item exists in the first place. The stats it offers you are great, so be a good Mage and get this item.

Fae-Blessed Hoops gives you +50 Magical Protection, +300 Health, +40 MP5, and +10% Cooldown Reduction. Its passive also drops a magical flower on the ground each time you heal an ally or when an ally dies. When picked up, these flowers give the God that’s picked them up a shield equal to 3% of the owner’s Max Health.

Again, preventive medicine is much better than having to heal your allies later on down the line. While not as good as Heroism’s shield, FBS’s shields can be triggered practically whenever you like, so you don’t have to worry about cooldowns.

Relic Dagger

Relic Dagger

This item is a bit of a controversial item, but in my opinion, it’s one of the most important if you’re running Smite Healer builds, and here’s why.

Relic Dagger gives you +350 Health, +10% Cooldown Reduction, +10% Crowd Control Reduction, and +7% Movement Speed. Its passive also reduces the cooldown time of your relics by 40s.

This item is great as it gives you all the stats you need as a healer, but its passive is what takes the cake. As a healer, you’re going to have to rely on your relics a lot to survive and help out your team. So, anything that lowers their cooldown is a welcomed boon indeed.

The Perfect Healer Builds

Perfect Healer Items

When it comes to Smite Healer builds, here’s what can be considered the perfect healer build:

  • Heroism
  • Fae-Blessed Hoops
  • Rod of Asclepius
  • Lotus Sickle
  • Relic Dagger
  • Mantle of Discord

Pretty much every item here (except for Mantle of Discord) gives you Health, that’s good as it increases your survivability. Heroism, Fae-Blessed Hoops, Rod of Asclepius, and Lotus Sickle are your core items, these bring the most utility to your team.

Relic Dagger and Mantle of Discord can be situational items, but it’s preferable to have them than to not have them.
